1) Forget what you are looking at on screen.
2) When pressing a pin, as soon as you hear any sound at all of the pin wiggling, release.
3) Rapidly move to any remaining undepressed pin.
4) Rinse and repeat until chest opens.
That is all.
Seriously, it's that simple.

The sound lags just like the video, sometimes worse.
your gonna have a bad time with WGT first boss
I am *** in lockpicking.
Let me admit that.
Here I am trying to enjoy the zonal story in Bangkorai and this stupid lockpicking is mandatory to open a stupid house.
Now I am stuck and cant progress in that story.
How many of you think it is a stupid game design ?
My Nord is a boy scout, won't pick locks to trespass, won't kill or steal from innocents. There are some quests he will likely abandon, even if the cause is just. That said, he hates Orcs and will steal anything of their's that's not locked up.

I think it's fine. Whilst it can be hard to pick there is always the force lock function that will eventually succeed.
You can also train legerdemain to get these to work almost every time, there is also PC add-ons which give you the pin positions to make it even easier.

I'd be careful using an add on like that. That is getting pretty close to an outside program doing it for you, which could result in a ban. Unlikely probably but I'd keep that on the radar.

@Ardaghion
Have you considered doing any character-conflicting quests OOCly? That's what I do when I encounter one that I wish to progress down that doesn't match my character. We have to do this to some extent. After all, not everyone's character can be the famed Vestige™.

As someone who picks locks in real life, I can personaly attest that it is simple...patience is: the key...
Hey, its not that bad yet... all the doors in ESO are lock-pick-able, not like we have stuff like...puffytheslayer wrote: »really - no one has donr this yet.....
