IMO you should be able to sell everything in the game before it has been equipped, bound on pick up is a load of rubbish. The good sets are going to sell for ridiculous prices anyway so there still incentive to grind the dungeons if u don't want to pay sky high prices and there is more incentive to grind if u want to sell.

I agree, but sale value is also going to diminish greatly after trait swap comes. They either need to make items sellable or properly collectible i.e. like what I described above, don't care if it is nothing like what I described, but if they implemented something like that, it would give me so many reasons to explore the world again.

Destiny 2 is that great? Destiny was supposed to be the next big thing. And while successful I didn't see how Bungie really moved itself away from Halo.

I'm not saying FPS games can't be good or fun, but after a while aren't all FPS games similar games with different skins (i.e. COD WW2 taking place in WW2 and Destiny 2 taking place in space)?

I dunno... I don't play it... but a large group of one of my guilds are playing it right now...so they are on minimally in ESO...They seem to think its a at most a 2-3 month game...then they will be back full time...

BOP is terrible on the in game economy. Very few items are actually desirable to people to buy. I would run dungeons a lot more if I knew I'd be able to potentially get an item that was worth lots of money. Everything should be BoE, Maelstrom weapons, everything. I'd be more than happy to do it and sell a weapon I don't want but is a good trait for gold.

Zos need to unlock the potential of the economy rather than suffocating and killing it. Running content is about incentive, there is not a lot of incentive with BoP as it is.

I don't see the appeal of an FPS MMO. FPS games are supposed to be about aiming and precision kills. Not riddling down an enemy's health over time. It seems counter-intuitive to play a shooter like this.

BoP killed the raid scene. A lot more people would be running vet trials if the rewards were tradable.

Yes in that sense all FPS games are the same, because of the base mechanics. Pick up gun, shoot gun at bad things. But it's everything that's wrapped around that changes the games such as environment, setting, characters, story, visuals etc. But your question about Destiny 2 being great? You'll get people who will praise it as the best thing ever, then you'll get me who never bought Destiny and will never have the desire to.

OP, ESO is getting on in age now. The Hype has dwindled, the masses are moving on to other games. I personally have no intention of ending my time here cause I'm just way too attached to my characters and ZOS has plans for yearly content so there's gonna be new stuff for a long while still. But really those of us who are still here and going strong are most likely the ones with the longest attention spans.

ESO was dead until November of last year. It's still a "new" game to most of the player base since most people have been playing for less than a year.

ESO isn't getting old in MMO years. the population spikeed 300% last November

But people are geting sick of the constant disreguardment of feedback, and balance decisions that they dont test or dont budge on.

It's been out long enough the pattern is present. The Morrowind buisness practices and patch were the tipping point. it was a inch too far. It'll bring in churn. New players who dont know the history. But they'll learn. Then they'll leave.

People leave because ESO can only keep you interested for like 5 seconds...

-New content is typically mediocre at best

-There are tons of issues that Zeni has decided to ignore

-The majority of PVE quests are uninspired and just involve fetch objectives.

-Zeni is price gouging even more now in the crown store for items that are either already in the game or take very little effort to make.

With those issues and plenty more, there are more reasons to leave than to stay.

OP, when you say items are bound, do you mean that all your toons are CP160 + and that you can't farm gear to sell, or do you mean you can't give the items you loot to another of your characters? If the latter is the case, any "bound" item you acquire is actually "account bound". So...you can farm the crap out of dungeons and share the spoils with every toon you have.

ZoS probably should clarify "bound" in item descrips. When that term is used in every single other MMO out there it means ONLY that toon can use that item. LOL Would like to have known that before my CP321 NB deconned all that heavy and light purple set armor he gained from dungeon running.

I've noticed a severe dropoff in my guildmates online and my sales in the last two weeks. I've attributed it to back-to-school, mostly.

But two updates in a row that made the gameplay less enjoyable coupled with the ever-increasing amount of things to grind for with indefensible drop rates has seriously tarnished my affection for the game, so I wouldn't be shocked if people are drifting away.

BDO is far worse than ESO. There is only one group dungeon and not a single raid.

Endgame is entirely PvP. And the grind there is non-stop. ESO grind is only bad if you need vMA or trial weapons, and even that is being reduced with the introduction of tokens.

    Pretty much echoing others above:

    Destiny 2 is legit.

I know it's taken over all my gaming time. About all I do right now in ESO is Saturday dungeoning with my core group of 4 and daily logs with my master crafter. If high level content in ESO was more attainable I might care/indulge more but it isn't, not for us Uber casuals anyway.

Going to get REALLY interesting to watch what happens when it drops on PC next month.

Oh please. ESO has a metric *beep* ton of content. If you're someone who plays daily, you're going to eventualy run out of 'new'. Then it's dailies and repeatable content which ESO ALSO has in spades. Eventually, everyone is going to hit a wall and need a break from any one single game. The problem with most people is they are burned out on the MMORPG genre in general and just can't admit it to themselves. So, they rawr at the one they are currently playing and move onto to another and hype it up. Back to square one.

There's a limit on number of people you see based on number of frames you have in city. ( Default is 8 per frame). Some people think it's a bit overcrowded especially at banks.

I did a poll recently, over half us never talk in zone for one reason or another. So the issue starts there.
