Destiny 2 is that great? Destiny was supposed to be the next big thing. And while successful I didn't see how Bungie really moved itself away from Halo.
I'm not saying FPS games can't be good or fun, but after a while aren't all FPS games similar games with different skins (i.e. COD WW2 taking place in WW2 and Destiny 2 taking place in space)?

BOP is terrible on the in game economy. Very few items are actually desirable to people to buy. I would run dungeons a lot more if I knew I'd be able to potentially get an item that was worth lots of money. Everything should be BoE, Maelstrom weapons, everything. I'd be more than happy to do it and sell a weapon I don't want but is a good trait for gold.
Zos need to unlock the potential of the economy rather than suffocating and killing it. Running content is about incentive, there is not a lot of incentive with BoP as it is.

Yes in that sense all FPS games are the same, because of the base mechanics. Pick up gun, shoot gun at bad things. But it's everything that's wrapped around that changes the games such as environment, setting, characters, story, visuals etc. But your question about Destiny 2 being great? You'll get people who will praise it as the best thing ever, then you'll get me who never bought Destiny and will never have the desire to.
OP, ESO is getting on in age now. The Hype has dwindled, the masses are moving on to other games. I personally have no intention of ending my time here cause I'm just way too attached to my characters and ZOS has plans for yearly content so there's gonna be new stuff for a long while still. But really those of us who are still here and going strong are most likely the ones with the longest attention spans.

But people are geting sick of the constant disreguardment of feedback, and balance decisions that they dont test or dont budge on.
It's been out long enough the pattern is present. The Morrowind buisness practices and patch were the tipping point. it was a inch too far. It'll bring in churn. New players who dont know the history. But they'll learn. Then they'll leave.

He'll quit before you decide to join. BD:O sucks. It's your typical Korean grindfest with no endgame.
There is no alternative to ESO at the moment (and none on the horizon either). When I stop playing ESO (and I'm already playing less and less), I won't be replacing it with another MMO (the competition right now is dismal).

Grindfest with no endgame?
Where have I heard that before?

If people are bored, it means there isn't enough content.
