I spent a few thousand gold and one race change token trying to like nightblades, but I guess they just aren't for me. I still haven't deleted my NB because her mount training is completely maxed out, and I keep hoping I'll find a way to like her better. I still worry that the second I delete her, I'll regret it.0 -

But the gameplay of a Stam DK in PvE is just... so stale... I mean: HA > DoT was pretty cool for the first half hour, but then you start to realize how quickly it gets boring in a raid to be playing such a slow class. Same thing goes for Sorcs. It took me 32 minutes of playing my DK to get above 40k on the 6mil dummy dring the Morrowind PTS, that's just saying how easy the class is. And yet, to get higher DPS than these 2 classes on a NB or a Templar, you have to make sure that your rotation (which is much harder to not screw up than the above classes) is perfect for the whole duration of the fight. It took me about 3 weeks on the Morrowind PTS to get to 44k on the 6mil dummy on the Stamblade, and in the end the 4k difference is basically only due to Minor Berserk. For both classes the circumstances were the same: going from the infinite sustain of Homestead to Morrowind. Obviously, I already had my ideas about the gear, the CP and the skill setups for each class back then, so it was only a matter of getting the rotation straight. 32 minutes on a DK and 3 weeks on a Stamblade for the same DPS is just lame.
So yeah, not only do I despise Stam DKs because of their slowness and boringness, but also because with literally no effort you get to be one of the highest damage dealers in raids, which kinda seems wrong.
Or maybe that's just because I'm so used to playing Stamblade all the time, which is basically the only class along with Magblade that conserved somewhat a fast paces playstyle in PvE.
PS: I did almost fall asleep while playing DK on the Assembly General

Yes, they only really have venomous claws and noxious breath that are stamina abilities, but you can look at any stamina character, regardless of class and you will see 90% of their skills are NOT class skills. How many stamina abilities does a stam sorc have? Hurricane and...? basically it, well Dark Exchange and the Armor too I guess. Templars have 3? Javlin, power of the light and jabs. Wardens have 2 stamina attacks and 1 stamina heal. And the class with the most is Nightblades with 6 abilities that costs stamina. Does that mean that all classes that are not Nightblades makes terrible stamina toons in your eyes? Just seems like such an odd way of looking at it.0 -
