After reading that... I was wondering... does this mean Battlegrounds is being opened up to all that either buy the DLC or have a sub?

No. Battlegrounds are a key feature of Morrowind Chapter. They will never(TBD) be accessible to anyone without that content.

You will need to own ESO: Morrowind in order to participate in Crazy King. This is simply a new game type being added to the current rotation.

I bought Morrowind and yet I would GLADLY welcome everyone to battlegrounds... meaning, remove the paywall barrier of Morrowind just for BG's...

A MMO isn't a Massive game without people to make it massive...

Can we please add a few BG map/modes for everyone? It will bring a lot of ppl into BGs, and it will probably lead to more sales of Morrowind. I bought Morrowind, but the ammount of players playing BGs (at least on PC/NA) is kinda low, i wouldn't mind everyone getting limited access to BGs for free if that leads to queques full of people for me to play with.

That's not a Morrowind access problem as a LOT of people bought Morrowind. The amount of people running around it the first week was crazy.

It's actually a pvp problem. BGs are still pvp and separate from the Cyrodiil leaderboards and rewards and, lets face it, ability to gank people there. Fewer people want a fair fight than an unbalanced one and hardly anybody wants to pvp, especially when risking losing durability and repair costs.
But really pvp overall is an acquired taste.

    The problem isn't access.

The problem is a lack of any sort of rating/ranking system and matching based on that. Nothing drives people away like being matched up against people who are not at your level, because it's just not fun. It discourages BG newbies and the casual crowd. Which is ironic since ZOS had touted BGs as the pop-in-and-pop-out casual PvP experience.

For me the problem is that when there is a stacked premade on the Q, i get matched with them every single time for hours. And there isn't much you can do when you are getting ulti bomb, debuffed and perma-snared by a premade. Adding more eggs to the basket (and creating another Q just for premades, a.k.a another basket) will make the experience a lot better.

Adding a ELO or something like that could help to get more balanced matches, but imo the biggest problem is not individual skill, is stacked premades vs random players

More BG modes will further dilute the amount of deathmatch we get...

That being said, when the teams are "uneven", deathmatch is the mode with the most lopsided score.

Think its more that all the scrubs like me who do well enough in an zerg is very soft targets in BG.
Having some sort of ladder would help a lot,
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Seeing the same folks over and over in matches leads me to believe that there is a population problem specific to BG's.

Lots of wonders I have.... if they were free to all, would that help? If CP was enabled... would that bring more of the lesser skilled players in? Anyone that plays CP do it because it is far easier than playing without CP.

Sadly... I fear that BG's will end up like IC... need something to be done before it is too late.

@GinaBruno You know you might get even more interest if you add another mode.

Lets change the name of DeathMatch to Powerup.(call it what ever you want)

Than you can have another mode called True DeathMatch where there is no Sigil to powerup. (just a straight up 4 v 4 v4).

Just a idea that would be super easy to implement. No harm in trying.

Queuing on PS4/EU nearly always leads to matches with the same few players, it feels like there is only a small number playing BGs anymore. Another big problem is that very few players understand the different game modes at all. This is mostly due to the fact that the game doesn't really explains how they are played. Compare that to Destiny 2 which clearly explains who Control, Clash or Supremacy are supposed to be played.

There is a repair cost on player caused death in bgs?

See how zos forces you to buy MW just to get into Battlegrounds. Battlegrounds should be apart of BASE GAME.

I'll have a go at BG when I eventually get Morrowind but in pretty much every other game I've played, nothing good ever comes from fragmenting the PvP playerbase.
