Very good video, I especially appreciate the ending.

Thanks for the inspration, I've been playing with a frost staff on a lot of toons since it used to be (and still is, even after Morrowind) a neglected weapon, with varying degrees of success. What is the equipment setup? Taking notes!
Ended up ditching the frostblade playstyle since I preferred the amazing, single target burst potential of the typical magblade setup. Still having trouble in staying alive when outnumbered and finding my niche in small-medium sized groups but I'd like to think I'm getting there.

Your niche is applying a bunch of hots to your allies and then dropping timely Flame Reach ccs and fat Assassin's Will > Impales on priority targets as your allies go to combo them. Use my old bar setup:
FR, funnel, impale, Merciless, fear, Tether/meteor
Siphoning/Leeching, mist form, path, ward, flex, resto ult
The flex spot can be anything...Mark, orbs, mutagen, mirage, proxy...or anything else you think will be useful for your group.
Remember that you are primarily filling an off-healing and utility role with very high single target burst for taking out priority targets, and you'll do well. If it's any consolation, this archetype of mageblade -- the slightly tankier sap healy destro mageblade -- is probably the strongest class for that niche. I created and began refining it early in IC patch, and it's only gotten stronger since. Also consider slotting utility sets like Transmutation, Riposte, Draugr's Rest, Meritorious Service + Cleanse, etc. They are very powerful and synergize well with your kit. You'll still throw 15k Assassin's Wills downrange even in utility sets with the Ritual -- just use damage glyphs.
