How fast do you want to complete your PUG dungeons?

Just do them as they come, no rush.
If i enjoy the group behaviour and style of play, I stay. If not, i will leave. Its not so much a matter of speed tho. So, if someone needs to pet the dog for a moment, i fine with that.

If someone says they're doing the quest, or want to slow things down, I've got no problem with that. Most of the time I just want to blast through it and get it done though.

The forum does house an exceedingly large proportion of care bears, so that is skewing the real result away from the overwhelming opinion that dungeons should be done asap.

Newsflash, you are playing ESO, and you are talking about PvE, you are a "carebear", else you'd be playing EVE Online or something.

But anyway back to the OP, I can't say I really care about the speed, because I very rarely do dungeons, so it isn't a big deal to me if they aren't super fast on the odd occasion I bother.

Frankly it amuses me that people basically want to get these things done as fast as possible, it shows the general stupidity of many PvE players in MMOs and one of the reasons the genre is dying, gameplay so boring that people want to get it out of the way fast as possible.

If a run is going to take more than 15 min I usually alt+f4. Ideally most runs should last under 10 minutes.

Those chests and heavy sacks? I'm going to look for them as we go. If I see them, they'll get cracked open and I'll call them out. If you then decide you don't want the free stuff they provide, that's fine, dandy, and up to you.

Those "optional" bosses? If the group feels like it, or people are moving in that direction, or someone is looking for gear, heck yes that boss is going down. It's additional loot and some of them are even required for speedrun achievements and survivor (like the rat catcher and the monstrosity in Wayrest 2, and Cilrenas in Fungal 2)

If someone else is flagging behind and another person is constantly sprinting ahead while leaving all the trash up, the person at the front is gonna get a polite nudge asking them to slow down and let those behind them catch up. I and the others in group are more than just your support team because you can't or don't feel like soloing this dungeon. I'm an actual person, thanks. (That said, if we're all together surging forward, spiffy. Charge!)

If you join a group finder, kindly give a crap about the needs and wishes of others, which are going to be random because it's a random grouping tool. If you want a perpetual speedrun, you're just as much on the hook for finding a group of like-minded people as I am. It's not solely *your* queue. It's not solely *my* queue. It's *our* queue.

Above all, do your darnedest to follow Wheaton's Law (don't be a [snip]). That's not being a carebear. That's being a decent, respectable human being and realizing "Oh, hey! Each of these characters is controlled by an actual person!" The fact that this gets mocked and belittled is quite saddening to be honest.

(My vote would go to "At the speed which makes the group run smoothly and the majority of groupmembers content" if the OP had deigned to include it.)

I usually don't rush at all, as a tank I'm a little slower anyway but the way I view it, If its a decent group then we'll go through smooth and quick anyway. if its newer players I will offer advice as I was there once as well.

I gauge the speed on the DPS behind me. If I know they are taking things out quick and we are all in sync I will start next pulls before the other mobs are dead. I have run with some DPS that will pull more run past me as I root them in place and grab aggro. I love runs like this, but I take them as they come. Speed is what it is. I will get guildies if I am in for a speed run, although I have a couple of speed no death runs with pugs.

    Very Well Said!! Huzzah! +1^
I do find it amusing that the OP had to start this "poll" after the 8+ page thread on this same subject. Lmao!!
Results? The "Speed through cause I play as I want crowd" are not the majority!! Who would have thought?
Yes, a equal amount of people would like to take their time, look for "Shineys", look at the cool scenes, etc.

As a new player who has yet to actually do most dungeons and only dares to when a more experienced friend is with me, I really wish that people didn't zoom through at top speed. I'm not learning anything. I don't retain information on bosses when a dungeon I get to do once every few weeks is explained to me boss by boss as the group rushes through at breakneck speed, I don't get to see what the dungeons look like, I'm not getting to loot anything unless the whole group stops for a chest, I may as well be being carried through for all the actual play immersion I'm getting. But I don't know three other people that are on at the same time I am, so I can't pick and choose. I feel like dungeons are pretty much a chore to get done, this way, it's not fun and I'm only doing it for xp and Undaunted points. If I ever did run across a group that wanted to go slow I'd be overjoyed.

There is SOOOO much cool stuff you miss that way! There is more to dungeons than just run through as fast as you can and get done.
I do dungeons to enjoy them. Could care less about XP....Shineys, Lore Books, Heavy Sacks, They are just as important to me as that gear drop on boss...
