    I don't think there will be much controversy on this one, with the exception of players who are in the dungeon for the first time and want to follow the quest.

    {Thinks-he-is-Funny} - Tough EP Argonian Dragon Knight. Drinks his ale in Belkarth - Secretly in love with his battlesister Knightmare the Wild. Battlegrounds King.
    {Son-of-a-Witch} - Confused Nightblade who took up the dark arts of black magic. Literally sits in Mournhold all day doing nothing. Dreams of returning to Dragonstar Arena.
    {Eilalenya Alkinaerith} - Strikingly beautiful High Elf of the Aldmeri Dominion - Seducer of men and elves - Learning the Healer ropes. Heals for fun.
    {Blue Bear-y Pie} - Think-outside-the-box Mastercrafter Warden - Enjoys long walks on the beach - Protector of Tamriel's fauna and wildlife - Breton lady.
    {Neopatra} - Grumpy old Veteran - Wreaks havoc in Cyrodill - loves her grandchildren - Redguard Brute. In case of bad mood she turns into a werewolf.
    {Sneaky little Maraya} - Gorgeous Redguard Bombshell - Evil stamsorc who loves to clear dungeons of monsters.
    {Seven of Nirn} - No-nonsense brutal lady-Orc. Always rambling on about the Covenant. Get with it or get out kinda StamSorcOrc.
    {Reeks-of-Incompetence} - Hangs in the balance DK. Studied to become a dentist. Alcohol made her do nothing all day. Argonian Historian.
    {Doctor Whoops} - Self conscious Sorc . Father to 18 children. None of which are anywhere in sight. Proves shield nerfs wrong. Currently doing vDSA.
    {Daisy Deathbringer} - Foul necromancer that likes to hang at funerals and graveyards. Mostly plays with the dead, does not deal much death.
    {Major Defiler} - Lovely necromancer who likes to study life. Puts the word romance in necromance.
    {Cindiana Jones} - Defected Templar. Very deadly in Battlegrounds. Likes to wander around Cyrodill.
    {Sideskirt Bob} - Nightblade who got his nickname when a lady Nord mentioned his waistline.

    It depends.

    First time, slow. Doing the quest, enjoying it, exploring the dungeon - getting the skill point.

    If its a Normal for the XP boost - fast as possible.

    Vet Helm farm (I only do rarely as I buy from vendor so I can save Dungeons to enjoy) quite fast - depending on group.

    I always ask group who's in for what reason, and respect different paces.

    there should be a speed run / slow pace queue option

    If a run is smooth then it is usually reasonably quick too.

    If I join a random (normal) group I am prepared to spend an hour with it. Yes I can get optimised elite members, or I can get newbies in random green gear, who need to run the quest and listen to dialogue. I sign up as a tank, but if I happen on a farm group of experienced people I have some back up DD gear I can swap to.

    If it's for a vet dungeon then I hope people will know what they're doing, having completed the place on normal before for the quest/skill point, etc. But it's still random, so I'm also prepared for the worst (as in, wiping often and having to explain mechanics, or the group collapsing if it's just not working).

    Whatever pace works, however I will draw the line eventually.
    I think an hour tops per dungeon is my line, although rarely has it happened.

    For vet I have patience. I understand it is harder and will take the time to teach if need be and members are willing. For normal it's gogogo, I am either doing a random normal for xp and want that to be useful so go quick, or trying to farm gear and to be efficient again need quickness. I do not think if you are looking to listen to the dialogue and explore the place that group finder is the place unless you specifically say so at the start and go with the vote, I think a Guild is a better place for that knda gameplay.

    Also no tanks just a heal and 3 dps or 4 dps with self heals. Unless the tank is also gonna be healing shielding the group. I never care though for normal as unless I'm on a brand spanking new toon I can just pull the normal anyway.

    If I wanted to watch things melt, I'd do Bangkorai world bosses or Alik'r dolmens instead of pugging dungeons.

    If I want to relax I'm not going to be doing dungeons with a PUG group, so the point for these things is just get the thing done as quickly as possible, like ripping a bandaid off.

    It doesn't really matter, as long as they can see how sexy I am. Which means don't ask me to disguise as a pirate @blackhearts.

    Seriously, mainly with DLCs dungeons, I usually don't mind training people. No hurry, no drama for a wipe. It's a matter of learning the mechanics and having fun.

    Even when doing the quest I try to go as fast as possible, the only reason you are there is to get gear so you might as well get on with it.
    If we wiped though it tends not to bother me when people listen how to do it, it only bothers me when I or someone else explains the mechanics and they keep failing especially when they'release so easy like bash boss when they're casting or some *** and they don't or you have to run in as a caster and try.

    The difference in time between doing a group dungeon as fast as possible and waiting for the dialogs and doing some poking around for Chests and Heavy Sacks is like 5 minutes. So I do them as fast as the group wants or needs to.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    The forum does house an exceedingly large proportion of care bears, so that is skewing the real result away from the overwhelming opinion that dungeons should be done asap.

    30 minutes or so of making good progress. But usually you know by the time you get to the first boss if it going to be a decent run or not.

    I don't actually care about speed, I care about progress.

    If we spend 2 hours on a boss but people are communicating, learning and doing their best and you can see them begin to succeed with mechanics they have failed at the start, I consider it time well spent.

    If we spend same 2 hours wiping on a boss(well, highly unlikely to last that long in this scenario I guess) with me healing, having agro and doing 80% group dps while the other 3 are ignoring my advices and dying to very same mechanics again and again even after being told how to avoid them 25 times, or actually telling me not to tell them how to play...yeah no thank you.

    I never pug for completion though. I pug for fun, meeting new people and the nigh extinct these days pleasure of teaching/seeing new players learn.
