Altoholics, how many of your characters are "finished"?

If you are having issues under you very limited definition, you are doing it wrong. Should take maybe a week of moderate play at the very most.

The longest grind should be getting to level 10 so you can run the cyrodiil newby quest and get rapids.

I don't have undaunted passives finished on any of them, but otherwise seven of them meet the rest of your criteria for being "finished." I have 11 characters total.

Just my main. I can't finish any alt, because of lack of the option to change their order is selection menu. I always delete and create them, but can't find perfect order.

    Two
I have 4 lvl 50s. Two I play equally and have the criteria you stated in the original question. The other two are geared and have skills/crafting but since I haven't finished their faction quest/main quest I didn't count them. I just don't find the sorcerer or dragonknight class very fun to adventure with (and the Covenant quest line bores me), so I don't play them any more. I use them to do repeatable holiday quests mostly.

There is no option for "none". Even if some of my characters meet most of the requirements, I have not a single one with Undaunted maxed. One has reached Undaunted 7 at least, and so has the first rank of both passives, all others are at rank 5 at max (most not even there).

    none.

one is kinda sorta more or less close and second one that is not AS close, but close enough, however part of the problem with being an altoholic is that instead of focusing on just one character, you tend to hop between multiples.

well that and I don't particularly care about BiS. I may care a bit more for it once clockwork city comes out, but just the thought of having to farm something over and over and over for that one illusive piece? makes me want to not play at all, so I go with overland/crafted affordable sets instead. i don't do vet trials or hardmode vet dungeons, so i have that wiggle room, why not take advantage of it?

I actually have got 15 characters to max. Even deleted one... 12 of them have max undaunted, max alliance war ranks. 10 of them have max mages guild. 4 of them have all armor and weapons skill at 50 (my original one of each class).

What can I say? I worked from home a lot like a year or two ago. "Worked from home". PvP is dead during day on Xbox, so I levelled up characters.

Got one who has it all. Master crafter, undaunted, all skillines 50. Gold gear for PVP.
Got another one who does PVE in Gold gear with all necessary passives, and one who's ready for doing any content but VET Trials when called upon.

I have eight (7 lvl 50) toons, so the remaining five are mostly for fun or on the list of becoming great one day.

    1. CP 160 or above
This doesn't work as CP is shared, so a level 1 can be CP 160, all they have to do is reach level 50

    2. Full geared to your heart's content, which may be BiS or near BiS.
You're obviously talking dungeons here, so I really care less. Being BiS does not make a character complete in an MMO and BiS doesn't make you a good dungeon player.

    3. Provision, alchemy and undaunted passives maxed
Why does having maxed provision, alchemy and undaunted mean you are complete. It doesn't

    4. Have enough skills to all your characters' needs (exclude crafting other than provision/alchemy).
    Frankly, this is subjective.

The poll is only for Altoholics. If you only have a single character and would still like to vote, there is an option for you below.

The term "finished" must meet below criteria:

    1. CP 160 or above
    2. Full geared to your heart's content, which may be BiS or near BiS.
    3. Provision, alchemy and undaunted passives maxed
    4. Have enough skills to all your characters' needs (exclude crafting other than provision/alchemy). If you believe your character should have Soul Assault (requirement for one of my PvP characters), then you will have finished main story line quest to be "finished".

I'm curious about where others are at because I have been working very hard to get the skill points, undaunted passives, provision/alchemy passives, gears and also finish main story line quest for various characters for months now. I think I'm finally at a point where I'm sufficiently "ready" with five characters in terms of all aforementioned items, even though I have seven characters at lvl 50. All seven are geared however. Gosh, it's a LOT of work!!

I've got 12 fully leveled and geared toons.

Heh, I have one character at 160 odd CP. Have another 3 under level 50 but above level 40 lol....

I get bored easily, no game has given me the same feeling that Guild Wars 1 gave. The build diversity in that game was supreme to say the least. 100s of skills and you could have a second class/profession on the same character just not the class/profession defining skill line. The reason I like ESO is because it is the closest to GW1 I myself could find and I do get the same feeling as I did in GW1 with ESO's skill bar.

But yeah, I have only been playing for 3 months so time will tell I guess.

One of the things I do for making alts is focus on Weapon Line leveling. When you get lv50, and you don't have certain weapon abilities unlocked(ie: my MagSorc has DW 36) it can also limit build ideas.

So when I know the toon is going to be stam focused, I level all the stam weapon lines. Same for magic, I level destro/resto/DW/S&B even if it's not necessarily used. Having those ultimate's unlocked and passives there is really important to being able to re-invent your guy without having to re-roll. Lets you slot any abilities you need for trying out your idea without having to grind post lv50.

I really don't like grinding out weapon lines past toon's lv50. And since I have soo many alts, I have a tendency to reinvent different build ideas onto toons that I barely play, like having my StamDK be a tank, or having my MagWarden be a pure healer.

I can't vote because none of my lv 50 chars are finished, but I am definitely an Altoholic. I am an on and off again player that has played and created and deleted chars and recreated chars since beta.

I currently have 11 chars and only 5 are lv 50. Of those 11 chars, 9 have leveled most of their crafting to 50 (except enchanting where my goal is basically 30 since its harder to level) and my main is maxed out in all crafting except styles which I am working on.

My Ultimate main goal is to get all my chars to max level crafting for crafting writs, as that is where I make the most money from excess materials from surveys and rare writ rewards.

One of my secondary goals is to figure out and set up each char, which requires a whole lot of SP since I don't want to have any drop crafting. and I plan to ultimately move my crafting from my main to my Imperial Sorcerer so I would be able to actually craft Imperial style and it would be easier to fight with a pet with limited SP left over from crafting when gathering from crafting nodes and surveys and treasure maps.

Everything else keeps changing due to my mood or discovering something new I hadn't previously paid attention to.

As a casual player I was satisfied that at one point I had a char max level and near max crafting with almost all motifs and I pretty much lost interest. Then ESO discovered DLC's and now my main is just a wanabe and I am happily pulled back into the game.

There's no none option - which is me by your criteria.

I have one character who has finished the main storyline and collected enough skill points to cover crafting, class skills and the two staves. Finished Wrothgar and Thieves Guild. Haven't bothered much with Craglorn or Gold Coast / DB. I've barely touched PvP.

I have 11 level 50 alts who've been fully horse trained and several of those with maxed crafting. But most haven't been played beyond the starter island.

Unlike the single-player games, you can't learn everything on a single character. There aren't enough skill points. Magicka / Stamina scaling also means there's not much point in bothering anyway. You're typically going to swing one way or the other. Racial passives also feed into that. The morph system is another layer of you-can't-learn-everything.

Since you can't learn everything there's really not much point in actually 'completing' a character. Other than the joy of completing a checklist if you're into that sort of thing.

My personal definition of a "finished" character is when that character has maxed all the combat-relevant passives (Undaunted 9, Fighters Guild 10, Mages Guild 10, and Alchemy 50, in addition to class/armor/weapon passives) and has gotten the Stormproof title.

I have 9 of these characters, 8 on my main account 1 on my alt account (all are in my signature). I have a couple more max-level characters, but I haven't "finished" them yet. But of these 9, only a subset are being actively played. For example, the last time I played my magicka DK was before the Morropocalypse, and it'll take a bit of time for me to re-learn how to play a mDK.

13, one is still in training

I likely have a tad different standards for "finished" gear as I tend to keep multiple builds on tap via addons for each character, for different roles, scenarios and pve vs. pvp...

But one thing you left off your list of "finished" skill lines leveled up is Dark Brotherhood.

I need Shadowy Supplier and the Shadow Rider on every character (DB level 7) so mobs don't aggro when traveling long distances or in Cyrodiil. Actually, in the IC you can go craft with Rapid and Shadow Rider while mounted, just zoom from the base drop off point to the crafting station door. Saves a ton of time.

You forgot to mention: Vigor from PvP for stam toons, I also like to have all Hirelings maxed on all toons cuz free stuff is rad. I currently have all hirelings maxed on 11 toons, but soon to be at 14.
