I've found 10 bots farming npc on pc EU, I took some screenshots and recorded all names. I can send screenshots and more details. It's quite difficult to report them one by one.

Try to report one or two of them as these BOT trains tend to have the same characters. Hopefully a GM comes out and takes a look and they don't just armchair it. Make sure you note in the report that they are part of a 10 character bot train.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

There are always lots and lots of these bot trains on PC NA in the Karthdar (spelling?) area. I have reported many of them over the last several weeks/months and they are still there, and growing in number. I got tired of reporting them, only to see them STILL there weeks later. They just need to send a GM into the area and start banning accounts, but I am not sure they are all that concerned with getting rid of them.

This approach is definitely better than no reporting them. Someone will investigate and whack them if you submit a report. If you can get a few names down and include in your report where they are, approximately how many, and what they're doing that should be enough to go off of. (And thank you for reporting them!)

There needs to be a specific BOT reporting tag. I tried reporting on a train i saw in shadowfen last night, but they don't make it easy. I have screen shots as well. I ended up dragging a Wamasu over to them they attacked it and well it won, twice. Then I went to look for another buried treasure in shadowfen and what do you know they moved there too. That is where i got them the 2nd time.

But seriously, we need a BOT report system.
Just a quick few clicks and here is the bot train, upload a few images and done.

The catagory A, sub catagory A1, level priority A1b sub-level of basement X just to report stuff is really non intuitive.
Does it matter what i was doing?

Nice to see a response. How about you give consoles some love. There are literally thousands of bots farming scraps everywhere. And nodes as well. It's insane. Have you ever seen 100+ sorc pet builds farming scraps. It's impressive. But sad that prices are so low players dont bother to farm at all.

There really should be a "report bot" section by itself. I've reported several and I'm never sure it is being reported in the right place.

I reported several last night. Was a bigger group than what the images show but every once in a while some of them get stuck and it takes them a lap to catch back up. I was able to get the names of six of them.

From what I've seen, it was 10 differents account names, but moving like one player.

OK, thank you. I'll make a report immediatly with all details then.

Sorry to write that, but your website for submit a ticket is really unclear and lack of categories and options for send directly a report to custosmer service. It's really discouraging to be forced to check every avaible options and fine none corresponding for reports bots but also cheaters .

Edit : reported in game, it's more easy.

I am on console and can garantee they are indefinitally on pc if they are on console lol. Reporting is litterally a bandaid solution as the same people will be back in a week or less with diff accounts.

I honestly think that players have already done their part in reporting. Now I think it should be up to ZOS to get in there and actively remove these accounts on a regular basis. You should know by now where they congregate for the most part, as I see them in the same spots time and time again. It's pretty obvious by now that these botters are simply going to get new accounts and keep going. So now that you know they exist, you know where they are for the most part, and you know they will just keep coming back, finding and removing them should be up to you. It's not like you have no idea they are there.

**And by "you", I mean generic ZOS "you", not YOU in particular. I realize you are just the messenger.

ZoS doesnt have any interest in removing botters. They boost the traffic numbers by likely a few thousand at least

I've seen upwards of 30 in a single pack before, saw 50 today roaming around in grahtwood in various huddles. ZoS knows where they are, they just choose to not fix the problem

There should be bot report option like what was said before and be able to submit a screen shot. I would say also turn on your name tags and make sure you have the @-name showing. I'm sure that will make the whole process go a lot smoother.

I have a question...how do u know they are bots? all I see is a panoramic screenshot of a group of idiots running @ grahtwood... how about u would have left ur ui on and show us the account/character names instead? or a few?...maybe they were just a group of roleplayers and u passed by mistaking them?... idk last time I met bots was 3 years ago...when delves were purged and it would take hours to finish a delve quest cuz boss spawns was incredibly hard to get a dmg tag...

I reported these bots a few weeks ago:

I submitted 6 tickets, one for each @name I saw and I included the others in the group that were botting along with them:

Botting caravan; toons with these user names in Shadowfen 9/5/17 1300 PST to the south of Alten Corimont @abc @abc1 @abc2 @abc3 @abc4 @abc5

Obviously I used different @names here so I would not incur the wrath of the mods

I will do the same cuz i saw similar "train" with perfect route couple days ago! So, report with ticket and video can be accepted? Thx

watch the ones at the back. they turn in very specific places. like the last guys will be lagging but rather than run directly to the front of the group, they follow the exact same path, turn in exactly the same place etc.

@xenowarrior92eb17_ESO you will know a bot train if you see one.

They will all have the same travelled path which repeats (step by step almost) and will attack at the same time when an enemy comes close, should anything block their path they will glitch around until free then go back on their path.
Normally they'll also all be names a gable of letters and numbers for their account ID sometimes with garbles names for characters.

Lol they look like they are all vamps!

Also, to clarify for some who have a hard time determining what bots are:

Botting is the act of automating your character with software to perform specific tasks that have a simple pattern to follow. Some botting can get very sophisticated (see botting vids in EVE online) and other botting is downright stupid (i.e. the type of botting we are seeing in ESO). So even if you see these characters that you may know and you may even know the @player behind them they are essentially putting their characters on autopilot to level and farm mats. It's no cheating in a high degree for ESO IMO, but it certainly does ruin the immersion so if you like the ESO environment . . . REPORT BOTS!

Because if you want to see how a 'cluster' of people actually behave go to cyrodiil. Well, ok, that's going back a while now, the upshot is people fidget. A cluster of 8 people will have at least one looking around, and another thinking he's 1m to the left so moving 1m right to try to get himself a bit closer, and another that doesn't care he is a bit off. The precision and timing these groups have with regard to mimicking the leaders movements make them so obviously computer controlled it's daft, and not only that, they are controlled from the same location as the 'lag' present is identical.

The only real way to make it not worth it for botters would be to limit the drops, or to make it irritating, like skinning for a pelt taking the same time as harvesting a node, and making it so only one or two toons can skin a corpse, but not at the same time. But then the botters will do something else. Only way to stop them is for no one to ever buy anything from them, ever or for another game to become more appealing

doesn't look like a bot looks more like a multi-box which is technically legal, bots do everything automatic where multibox you are playing the entire game but relaying key strokes to multi characters at once....... as the main character is always leader. i dunno what ESO TOS is but iv never seen a multi-box ban seeing that it is considered legal due to the playing doing the key strokes

this is called multi-box and it is not a bot, this is actually legal due to the player actually playing them all at once... it is a grey area the debate is nothing is actually automated about it the player is playing them all doing all of the keystrokes for all of his characters in fact I support multi boxing again not a bot..... its literally a program where you play one character and those key strokes are repeated to the other screens and u can e ven make custom keystrokes for heals or tanks etc..... allowing one player to do raids if they want to pay for it all.

Multiboxing is NOT allowed in The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited in any of its forms, whether software- or hardware-based. Any accounts found to be multiboxing will be considered in violation of our Terms of Service and actioned swiftly and decisively, up to the permanent deactivation of the account along with any other associated accounts. To be clear, players are welcome to have multiple accounts. However, using hardware or software to play them all at the same time is not allowed on any ESO service.

Multiboxing is the practice of playing multiple accounts simultaneously, including, but not limited to using either hardware or software to facilitate the coordination between the accounts. This violates the intended nature of the gameplay mechanics we've created for ESO.

Botting / Multiboxing isnt allowed and yes in grahtwood are big groups running arround and farming wild animals.
There are more than a few groups (yesterday i see 4 big groups (8-12 bots or more) in grahtwood)
