I want to know about magic DPS specifically, where that thread was in general, but thank you for the thread.
A little remark - mainly on non-pet build. Non-pet build literally does s**t sustainable damage right now, absolutely unplayable unless you want to be carried by others forever and ever. Pet is now the only way to go.Still a bit early to tell, but my initial impressions are that DPS has fallen quite a bit at least on Magicka Sorc (mainly pet builds).

Nice! Do you think Stam has gone up too much in DPS compared to ranged Magicka builds? The difference is pretty big. I think Magicka needs to have some sort of support sets (thinking of Sunderflame, Morag Tong, NMG, etc). Not for increased Pen, but other Magcika-based buffs. Would be cool.

It's not my parse, but stam dps is kinda out of control. The issue is not so much as they outdmge range, since there are mechanics that prevent melee stacking so range dps will always be needed, but stamdk is doing a lot, while magdk and magtemplar, melee's, are left in the dust.

Its literally a target dummy inside a raid, so of course stamina will be parsing much higher in this fight due to their clear superiority in single target DPS. On vMoL HM or vHoF HM (fights that "really matter") numbers between stamina and magicka are fairly even, because mechanics.

Stam DPS hasn't moved up or down since Morrowind, its just people are starting to notice that stamina builds don't suck 3 months after they stopped sucking. And since people realized that stamina builds don't suck, they start to bring more into raids, which in turn leads to the use of support sets and higher overall stamina DPS than last patch. But from a raw DPS point of view, the DPS since Morrowind hasn't changed.
Agreed on the magicka support sets. Right now there's just Infal.

So what if I posted a Varlariel parse, all I said remains correct regardless of which I would have. Range dps remains desirable while melee magicka are just not competitive.IzakiBrotherSs wrote: »Why post a Varlariel parse?
