I was able to break 40k in Homestead. Morrowind was more like 38k.
HotR is more like 36k.
I'm a pet sorc. Best I got parsing today was 37k and I can't really see myself going higher than that. Most parses were around 35-36k.

Of course, since PTS still has crit enabled Maw I also got a 39k parse with Maw doing 4.4k dps

The thief nerf was a little too much in my opinion.
Even on my sorcs where I like high crit for crit surge i'm better off using the warrior over the thief which I think is a shame.
I'm very happy with 95% of the balance changes this patch. I just feel like the thief got slightly over nerfed and possibly precise could use a little bit of a bump.

I'm seeing lots of decreased on here..... I was led to believe that DPS increased this patch Is a DPS decrease happening on all builds or only some? Is it like a Magicka build change while Stamina DPS is the same/even higher than in Morrowind?

Honestly I don't know. I've been hearing that Stam players are now more on par with Mag players in trials, which would seem to indicate that the nerfs hit Mag a little harder. Beyond that, we'll have to see what Stam players say.

Pet Sorc - Xbox - 655 CP

Pre Patch i played Necro/Moondancer/Ilambris - 28k dps with trash pots self buffed; only my necro lightning sharpened staff was golden!

now i play 5 Julianos/5 Necro/1 Slimecraw - and i just hit for 25k dps with best magicka potions (22-23k with trash pots) , even my gear is fully golden and 2 golden staves ffs >.<

i probably do something wrong lol

The game feels "balanced" in terms of stamina making more dps while magicka surive better. Too bad that it came with huge amount of nerfs and slowed down the gameplay which was already slow since Morrowind. I'd wish they simply buff staminas, reduced necessity of heavy attacks and put more HP into mobs\bosses or just increase the amount. We are in a gaming era of fast paced action, this game right now is for retired people. If you are younger than 25 there's nothing for in this game. You will have a feeling of driving Ferrari through country side.

Well that's a bit of a different story.

Stamina is quite a lot better than Magicka at Vet trial DPS in Horns of the Reach due to easier sustain, great sets to increase group Stamina DPS dealt (Sunderflame, NMG, Morag Tong, etc), and extremely easy survivability on most boss fights which never requires you to shield to stay alive (Blade Cloak - no shielding far less DPS loss).

Their melee range creates a situation where you can only bring so many of them into a trial though so it's generally best now to bring 4 Magicka and 4 Stamina builds which is perfect imo. It was apparent that Stamina DPS was already surpassing Magicka but I was unaware that Magicka DPS would decrease this patch is all.

As long as it's mainly *Pet* Sorc that is losing DPS I'm okay with it despite Mag NB taking over the "Best Magicka DPS" throne now

In morrowind I was averaging around 33-35k, in this update I'm barely hitting 30k.
It is disappointing to log in after each major patch to lose another 3-5k dps...
I just don't want to keep getting weaker...

You still are the magicka kings. Sorcs do 38-40k now from what I witnessed, while lets say templars or warden can't even break 35k this patch...

Oh sure, I wasn't comparing Mag Sorc to other Mag classes. But when Stam NBs are doing 48k parses, that's what makes me drool. I understand Stam and Mag have different strengths and that Mag usually does more AOE damage, so all in all I'm really ok with it. Was just using hyperbole for fun.

Was too laggy yesterday to do anything. Obviously solo dps went down due to sharpened and mundus changes. But I imagine overall damage in raid damage went up, should be able to do some group stuff tonight on plebbox and I'll find out for sure then.

On my Stamplar my DPS on the skeleton went down from ~36k to ~35k, though DPS in raids went up by 10-20%. I guess that is because self buffed penetration went down, but you have better replacements for unneeded penetration in raids. Having multiple stamina DDs with buffsets got a lot stronger since it allows you to play with less penetration your self and therefore use the sets and traits that got buffed. Can't speak for Magicka though, haven't tested that enough jet.

Stamina is outperforming Magicka in in singletarget and cleave DPS since Morrowind. They got their own problems and running too many melees isn't great either. But never the less "on par" is a bit of a understatement in my opinion.

Tried a ton of setups now. Not every setup I was hoping to test, but pretty much everything (still need to try out Netches Touch and Scathing Mage on non-pet setups).

So far Magicka Sorc DPS has definitely fallen and by much more than I thought it would. I was curious why people were telling that Mag NB was putting out such better numbers but now it's very clear. Also Mag NB gives those very nice off heals.....

Anyway, not getting into the conversation about what's optimal in raids, but I can say with confidence that Magicka Sorc DPS has certainly fallen by a noticeable margin. They're definitely not bad, but if you thought that they beat Mag NB last patch in single target DPS (which they didn't) then I highly recommend that you Magicka Sorcs give Magicka NB a shot.

Before the patch my DPS was 16.2K (Crit) on PvE. Now It is 18.6K (Crit).
Changes? Only Champion system.

Cons: Critical Chance Decreased
General: mwah, it's the same amount of time I kill. And still hit (great). I mean it's not too much but I can live with it.

It increased for everyone who isnt a pet sorc or stam blade from what i seen. My stam sorc got a nice jump in crit allowing me to ditch theif mundus infavor of more dmg and infused made some new options. I got a laugh outta my non pet build mag sorc took a world boss down solo with light attack spamming with my gear changes friggin epic
