A smaller number of join able guilds would increase the quality of all guilds. Right now the guilds are so diluted that's there's no player loyalty or benefit to be a loyal participating member.

There's no loyalty because of the guild cap. I have to leave a guild I really don't want to (Trading Guild) to add a crafter offshoot of a guild Im socially loyal to with no trader, losing opportunities to sell things to help friends start something.

You're failing to factor in that your vote for less guilds if implemented would cause EVERYONE to be forced to have less guilds, hence my use of the term "dictatorship" given your decision to essentially control other people.

It's probably a ZOS crappy database issue...they don't seem to be able to safely keep long lists of things in their database.

You can't blame your lack of loyalty to a guild on the fact that you don't have more guild slots. You're either loyal to the guild you are in or you are not. This is a pretty black and white issue. Attempting to claim it's not your fault you have no loyalty is ridiculous.

Easy solution.

Saying I have no loyalty when 2 of the guilds I am in have been on my list since 2015 is ridiculous. But I will assume you replied as you did because any time someone leaves your guild you feel like they killed your soul. I am 2nd in command and high rank in the other. The rest are trading guilds. My main guild wants to make a crafter offshoot so I have to lose a trader or tell my good friend making gold is more important than helping him. But yeah, I have no loyalty. Lmao

I don't think you understand the concept. /end of discussion. I'm not going to argue with a chess pigeon. Have a good day. Best of luck.
