Put your Banker/Merchant away

Three times tonight I had players refuse to put their Bankers or Merchants away through the entire dungeon, even when asked. One of them was during a Vet HM pledge. You refuse to put them away, have fun looking for another Healer. Straight to Ignore List too.

Ya, that's just rude. It can also be distracting and view-obstructing especially in fights where there's a lot of visual noise.

Yeah well try be a tank while there are pet sorc builds, then you see the meaning of annoying.
Those builds can kill a dungeon strat for a tank.

    No.

Ignoring someone because they won't put their banker or merchant away? I could understand if you were doing a vet trial. But a dungeon? Hilarious. Sounds like you might have control issues.

My sorc be like: "You think I have too many pets up in this dungeon, bruh?"

Because the pets pull agro on their own and can completely mess up controlling the battlefield and resource management for tanks.
it's annoying when for example, I am tanking a boss, keeping the agro away from my team faced towards me, a pet comes and the boss does a 180 and heads towards the pet/team

Any real argument as to why anyone would refuse to put their banker/merchant away during a group activity ? Apart from intentionally enjoying being a burden, I don't see any reason. As a result, leaving the group and putting people on ignore looks appropriate to me, since it's the only efficient way to deal with people who enjoy being a**es.

They are annoying but I am not sure they warrant a block/leave.

They might be more agreeable if the camera focused where the actual cross hair was and not the front of the screen, you shouldn't be able to push E and interact with items behind your character.

More than that, the Clanfear actually has a taunt. I'm not sure what the parameters are where it can fire, until Morrowind it could taunt Trial bosses. It might not be able to taunt dungeon bosses, I'm honestly not sure.

yeah it taunts bosses, I've had it taunt a few bosses in base dungeons before.
It really messes the flow of the battle up.

Unslotting it is fairly easy. Finding it to reslot later is a pain.

    Valid point.
Let's suggest to re-bind it to some faraway key, then ?

So far never had anyone ask me to put them away. Usually seems the other group members are glad to be able to empty their bags quickly, and Nuzimah is a badass. Sometimes she is the last one standing

I think I would look for new healer as well. Control issues much? Tanks are only true leaders in any PvE content.

That's valid for outside of combat. The complaint is about having them up during combat. Noone can use your merchant while in combat because she moves around with you. She's not available to other players.
If noone ever asked you to put her away, it's because they were annoyed to have to ask. But merchants or bankers during combat are both annoying and ridiculous to everyone else.

some people play a dps pet build though.
I can understand that, but as long as they actually know what there pet is doing and how it can mess up a dungeon, then they would ideally not run a pet build in a dungeon or trial

We're talking merchant and banker here. Not combat pets. (Even though some people have exchanged some bad experience with sorc pets interfering with tanking, it's still a thread about merchant and banker).

Guys, there are a lot of people who are not playing the English version of ESO, and they don't read English chat cos they don't understand English. If only ZOS would translate chat into their ESO language version as well. Just watch twich ESO, you'll see their ESO is in a foreign language and chats are still in English and a wall of English in chat doesn't mean they get what u r saying.

Taking away banker and merchant in a dungeon is common sense. Shouldn't even have to ask nor understand. Just do it.

Not to derail the conversation, but some tanks won't lead.

Okay. So "from your own experience" you draw a generally valid conclusion that says "only true leaders are tanks"... .... no further comment, your Honor :o
