I've never ignored/muted/blocked/reported a single person, Xbox NA and all I do is PVP, 2 1/2+ years playing.

    Maybe you're the problem....
I'm a PVE roleplayer concerned about my vampires stage 4 skin tone and keep getting load screens so I came here to distract people from major issues with a rant thread about my characters cosmetic appearance.

I never block or report either, and I am on Xbox NA as well. We consolers must take the high ground

Maybe i'm just a nice guy..I don't feel comfortable putting someone on full ignore forever, yet some people just treat everyone but themselves as worthless nobodies.

I love how people always take someone actually using the ignore function so personally :D

I emptied mine out recently cause it has been full for ages and there's no way to tell if the people on it have even been on lately but a higher limit still wouldn't hurt. I have to put up enough with people that irritate me in some way or other irl, I don't see why I should have to in game and I don't care if someone decides to put me on ignore either.

Wow.. I love it when someone always points the finger back at the person that's having issues with others. Good for you for never ignored/muted/blocked/reported a single person in your 2 and half years of gameplay. Superman, it seems. However, I'm not sure what kind of person that can tolerate toxicity or tolerate others' racist, derogatory and harassing remarks/comments on others that are happening lots on zone chats (and, although, not as often, but still do occur on guild chats; usually that dumb arse gets kicked.) There will always be bantering, chest thumping, and even escalated debate or battle of wits at time on zone chat, but when someone is calling others derogatory term on blacks or African-Americans, demeaning reference term(s) on gays, lesbians and Jews, or other hateful remarks; oh yeah, would be such a good citizen to tolerate that. I have blocked many people, but I don't block peeps just because they are vulgar, just cursing, or being stupid. It can be annoying, but people will be people. However, all my blocks have been those that spurt hateful, vile and derogatory remarks, and sorry dude, I am not the problem. I have to also say shame on those that tolerate that or turns a blind eye.

If you're on PC, there's a Mute List add-on. It only mutes the person in chat (so it doesn't stop you from group finder'ing into the same group, or block mail), but it's better than nothing.

That's nice. I filled my block list within six months of starting, my only "problem" is that the block list is so small. I have no obligation to listen to homophobic/racist/etc bs, and the list is a great tool to let me turn off the stupidity in chat without impacting the other person's game.

Or even just turning off the political rants: I'm there for a game, not for an opinion panel. XD

In 2 years I blocked only 2 persons on PC/EU. Yes. There are some cancerous EU players but I just don't interact with them. Suffering another problem. Friendlist is full. Need more space (

I haven't blocked more than 20 ppl in 3+ years of playing, but that's NO reason to judge someone who needs more blocking.

Sorry I was unaware that the list was so small, how big is it again?

    Maybe try deleting people?

I try not to interact with toxic people.

I've had to kick people from groups for problems but I rarely feel the need to block someone. They would have to be spamming me with messages for me to care enough to block them. With that said there I've certainly met some real jerks in my time gaming and I can understand the OP just not wanting to deal with those people again.

If you need to block them because they are messaging your account you may be able to use the service (i.e. Steam, Xbox, PS if applicable) to block that user so they cannot message you.

If there's millions of accounts with no live GMs, you'd think Z would allow a larger ignore list. At least date entries so the oldest can be removed first.

I try not to interact with toxic people.

It only has space for a hundred, and I would rather keep people blocked than accidentally unblock someone who throws around words like "f*ggot." I don't need to see that ***.

For example, if I'm farming Craglorn and waiting to see if an any trial pugs start up then I want to keep zone chat active. If someone starts a politics discussion I'm probably going to end up blocking 5-10 people over half an hour, just to declutter the chat; but when it comes time to clear the block list I have no way to tell the difference between people I blocked to declutter and people I blocked for being toxic, so I leave them all blocked. The option to see when I blocked people (as suggested above) would help with this, but c'est la vie.

I might be missing out on great people, but I miss out on great people every time I log off. I'm not bothered. /shrug

I don't understand why there is EVER a limit on ignore lists. We should not have to have obnoxious people in our face when we're involved in a recreational activity where we paid to be there, just like at a movie or restaurant, and since ZOS will not remove obnoxious people who detract from the experience the way a movie theater or restaurant would remove nasty disruptive patrons, ignore is the next best thing. Ignore list SHOULD prevent a lot of griping and pestering that ZOS would have to put up with in reports, so you'd think they'd want to encourage people to just use that feature instead.

Wow, I rarely have to ignore players and usually it has to do with constant spamming, and usually I unignore them a day later. I currently have an empty list.

Does no one else regularly clear their ignore list or am I just weird?
As a casual player I was satisfied that at one point I had a char max level and near max crafting with almost all motifs and I pretty much lost interest. Then ESO discovered DLC's and now my main is just a wanabe and I am happily pulled back into the game.

I usually take people off my ignore list after a day or two and only put them there in the first place when they are abusive, which usually happens often in PvP when I destroy them. I hope the next time I rek them in PvP I won't get abuse and have to put them back into ignore but whatever.

I've been playing since beta and have (I think, can't check with the servers down) 3 people on ignore - I think all of those were because of them making sexual comments to me that made me feel uncomfortable.

I certainly don't feel the need to put many people on ignore, just a few very weird and inappropriate people who I don't want to be pestered by.

Well if i use it, then it's cause someone is a rly toxic player (looting chests in trials when others are in fight) and such ppl with absolutley zero respect for other players.

Why should we not ignore them since they are the ones letting us have less fun in the game?

I don't ever clear my ignore list. I put people on ignore if they seem to be awful people that I want to just not have anything to do with, look at, or be reminded of their existence. It's not like it's a time-out for someone I think will be nice the next time I meet them. I expect that if I gave them a second chance they would make me ignore them again, so I just leave 'em.
