Title says. Morrowind was the last time i pay for this game. Addons was nice...but Battlegrounds dont makes sense if you play against 4 Sorcs.

Best Burst is certainly a stamblade. Best AOE, granted LL is a strong skill, but nobody uses it in PVP. Curious what AOE you are talking about here. Fastest class, I mean they have access to major expedition for a few seconds, but they arent the only class. The days of endless streak spam have been over for a LONG time. Best sustain? not particularly. Dark conversion is strong, but it is easily countered. Nightblades have siphoning, DKs have battleroar, Templars have Rune, Wardens have enchanted growth, that's a L2P issue. All classes have a skill or passive to sustain. Sorcs is the only one that will get you rekt (by a good player) if you do it mid combat.
I wont sit here and say sorcs arent strong when played effectively, but that is true of any class.
If you are talking PVE? Sorcs are NOT at the top for DPS with magic of stam. I think they are one of the easier classes to play, but the days of 7-8 sorc DPS in a raid are long gone. I will certainly concede that the patch before morrowind, they were a little out of hand in PVE, but that has been true of almost every class at some point.1 -

3/4K shield in pvp non-cp ... yeah ... awesome idea man ... make it so you can simply destroy their shield with one light attack and enchantment proc ...

the only time you see them dead is if they are hunted down by 10 to 20 people and pounded on for a few minutes untill the sorcerer has no resources left. they, are, over, powered.1 -
