Whats your DPS parse on a DD magicka templar and what kind of builds youre using (HoTR)?

I want a feedback on the community on whats the ideal DPS parse that a templar could acheive, ive seen alot of dps discussions on most classes but i have never or rarely seen templars,
as of right now im doing a horrible 17-20k dps on HoTR, while on morrowind im struggling to get to 25k dps, im using 5pc julianos and 5 pc mother sorrow since morrowind, ive changed it to 4 pc war maiden but ive hardly seen any increase on my dps. as of right now im experimeting on 3 sets:
1. infallibe aether
2. julianos
3. war maiden
julianos + IA seems good but im still lacking a 1 pc necklace of IA, so is war maiden + IA a good alternative or julianos + war maiden?

✭✭Mostly tanking atm, but combinations like julianos/aether, scathing mage/aether or scathing mage/julianos look promising imo. Monsterset (if possible) can be grothdar or 1 iceheart/1 slimecraw. Usually parsing between 30k and 35k atm
war maiden isn't good at all on templars, bc you only have like 30...40% magic damage which makes this set really bad in pve.

You will lose DPS without monster helm. With moondancer sustain is absolutely fine. If you do have an issue a few heavy attacks in a rotation will be enough.
Maw just seems really good right now, since they buffed it. Also, summoned pets have the buffs you have.

✭i dont know anymore. i went to bed morrowind doing 26k dps and woke up on horns of the reach day- barely cracking 20k dps. i too would like to know what the *** to do, how to sustain, and how to dps all over again. very frustrating having just farmed my magicka and stamina sets- in all the bis traits- and now having to do it all over again.4 -

Fixed link. And Torugs 2 piece is not justifiable at all vs monster helm. ive tried scathing mage but I hardly proc the 5 pc bonus set on it, ye war maiden is good on paper but now that i think about it only puncturing sweeps, radiant and purfying light (sometimes ritual) are the only skills on my load out that actually benefit from it

The final tick of Purifying Light only scales with your maxMagicka, so only sweeps, blazing spear, burning light and radiant (+ first tick of purifying which doesn't do that much dmg anyways) get buffed by war maiden.Noobplar0 -

Safe to say that Julio will be the base. Waiting for patch notes regarding IA before I decide what to par it with.
I have had my highest parses with Nirn mainhand (Shock-ench) and infused offhand (SD-ench) since the offhand is up 100% with weave anyways. With Nirn mainhand shadow actually wins in the mundusrace when I tested.
Maiden is a outsider if they decide to fix Sweeps/Radiant...

Really shadow? i tested shadow yesterday and i had higher crits when i swapped to apprentice. But using Destro/destro with infused on mainbar/nirn offbar atm.Noobplar0 -

After trying many gear combinations and testing all the relevant Mundus stones, my best output comes from The Thief.Bladefyr - Shadowed Legion0 -
BurtFreeman✭✭✭i'm still using 5 kulianos + 5 mother's sorrow, with 72% crit (with inner light) and 2500 damage (i use spell damage glyph and apprentice mundus). it's a bit low on regen, so heavy attack is nedeed currentely.
unfortunately i'm not the best in rotation and i don't know how to see my current dps.1 -

I have had my highest parses with Nirn mainhand (Shock-ench) and infused offhand (SD-ench) since the offhand is up 100% with weave anyways. With Nirn mainhand shadow actually wins in the mundusrace when I tested.
Maiden is a outsider if they decide to fix Sweeps/Radiant...
so julianos will probably be BiS in most situation, how about IA + mother's sorrow, will it be viable enough?
since the shadow nerf ive changed to apprentice hows the damage difference between apprentice and shadow?

Like I said, gonna wait for patch notes concerning IA. And shadow is only viable if you make a DW build with Nirn on mainhand. Otherwise Apprentice/Thief depending on what sets you use.Edited by NiclasFridholm on August 21, 2017 12:55PMTobias Funke - Magplar since forever0 -

5*Julianos
5*Spinners
2*Slimecraw or Grothdar or anything else with a good offensive 1st and 2nd bonus
with Apprentice Mundus for SD (tried thief and lover too, apprentice gave the best results)
In Homestead I would reach 33k 100% solo
Morrowind this setup dipped to 30-31k
Now (5.4) I can just barely break the 30k mark.
Switching to staff (5-5-1 setup) nets nearly the same results.1 -

Grabmoore✭✭✭✭✭I'm testing each day currently and @BlackbirdV suggested me to try maw of the infernal set, too.
However it did not perform too well for me with only 1.5k dps (counting his fire and both attacks).
I had my best parse with 5 julianos(body)/ 5 spinner/ 2 grothdar with apprentice mundus. 5/1/1 duel wield front(precise infused) plus lightning infused backbar. I got 32.6k selfbuffed, ob an argonian. BiS should be higher.
All in all I can only say that our dps is mediocre this patch. That's nothing new though....
Not perfect rotation and purple spinners.
