Both skins are hideous, so I'm not sure why anyone would want either. I think it's funny when people think their characters look cool like that. Especially people whose characters look really good otherwise. To each their own I guess.

But on topic, yes, this is clearly a cheap, low effort product. Please nobody with sense buy this.

Personally I don't think any of the skins in the game look cool, but that doesn't mean they don't have appeal for certain reasons.

Example: I certainly don't think this new Ebony Epidermis thing looks good at all, but I have a character that's supposed to be hideous looking and this skin fits my vision for that characters aesthetic pretty well.

Some people make insanely hideous or goofy looking characters all the time and that player likes it. "Cool" or otherwise pleasing aesthetics is all relative to the player's own opinions.

I agree with you, none of these skins are appealing.
It's like they think we like the nasty/ hideous type looks. How about something a lil sexy or alpha?

I did a poll and 55% of people said this game isn't PG, so why haven't they made skins and costumes catering to what I want?

I'd really like to run up to people and look at them with my alpha skin, and intimidate the heck outta them. "daym this guy looks so alpha, makes me feeling beta, nobody noticing me with this alpha around me"

The Ebony Epidermis skin, I'm fine with being in the crown store, though I understand your frustrations about recolors.

The Blood-Forged skin, I agree with completely. It is clearly designed to be a reward for the related HotR dungeon achievements. Now, if the SotH dungeons didn't do this, I wouldn't bat an eye, but now that they have pretty much established that there are dungeon-specific skins for new DLC dungeons, they have completely shattered our hopes and expectations with an ugly skin and ugly hat as rewards for achievements. So now, I pretty much have no incentive to actually learn the dungeon mechanics and attempt the no-deaths on them.

They should ask some intimidating alpha males, and chicks what they think about the skins before launching them. Ask them how to make it more alpha.

If I'm gonna pay crowns, I better be looking more alpha than everyone else, better make my movement more alphalike too. I aint paying crowns to look beta.

This is a long term complaint of mine. They game lacks any sort of reward for playing. There is basically story and grind gear. There is no goal to work towards. Sure I can farm keys and hope random loot drops for me. But that isn't a goal that keeps me coming back.

Ive long been in favor of a token system of some sort on different activities, to give people something to work towards that doesn't involve dumb luck. Something that I can track and say to myself, hey in 5 days I get that new pet or shiny hat.

They can't sell crap that's earned in game that's why it's getting less and less .. why make you grind weeks and months for something when they can slam it in the crowns store for 2k-5k crowns and rub there hands together watching the sales tick over from idiots!!

Even though I understand your frustration, you said it yourself: it is a recolor. People will recongize the red one as the skin you need to work for it, and the purple one as the one you can just buy.
In my personal opinion I dislike both. I have the red one (man that hard mode was tough) but I have no problem if they release recolors of earnable skins. Nothing will beat the original

Beat it. Not all of us want to spend hours doing dumb *** online and would prefer to just buy stuff we like. You know people who have decent jobs and work hard in real life so they can enjoy their hobbies and spend the money they earned. The skin isnt even the same stop crying.

I do not see the problem, all they're doing is adding different variations of the skin. Its not like anybody is making you buy it or anything. If it looks like you really like it then buy it, and if it doesnt then dont.

Its pretty simple

When I bought my watch, I bought a nice black watch. A couple months later I saw the same watch in silver, and I thought to myself how much nicer it looked. But I didn't go to the company upset because they made a watch that looks nicer then what I got. I just shrugged it off and went on about my day because I knew what I was buying, knowing I wasn't gonna be able to swap it out for anything different till I decided to put down the money for it. It's what you agree when you spend money on something

I think the issue is that they tend to market same product under different color. They did also market a DLC size content as "expansion" smh.

There's a solution to this - and also one that will hopefully decimate the market for bot-farmed gold as well - make crowns tradeable among players. If a player is determined to pay money for in-game gold, they could buy crowns from ZOS and sell them to other players for gold (at whatever rate the market ends up determining). While players who are too cheap or poor to buy crowns for money could buy them from other players for gold. (And as all crowns would ultimately originate from ZOS with someone having paid money for them, ZOS gets their money either way.)

Which is why you don't trust datamining. There was never a promise or official statement that the skin you're mentioning would be achievement based. You may not like that it is in the crown store, and that's fine, but to say they took it out is kinda silly to me.

All of the above has absolutely nothing to do with the skin you seem to have taken interest in (purple veins one), which brings us back to my first comment: you still have your "Look at this badass skin" skin. I'm not being sarcastic, or at least trying not to be.

If they made a reskin of the dwemer sphere, ice wraith, or senche lioness that were loyalty rewards for me and many others I wouldn't bat an eye. But on the day they sell an achievement vanity item one to one on the crown store, I'll agree with you. That isn't what is happening here, though.
