I am a high elf warden amd originally made to be a dps but that is not an option due to other classes dps. I am thinking about making him to tank either Vet Trials or VDSA. Should I just run the normal 5 green pact 5 plague doc? And I have no idea what skills I would use.

Its possible but it feels... off. Atleast for a trials enviroment and even some vet dungeons. I say this because yeah you get the phys/spell resist cap and all the snares and whatever.. But the main thing that realllllllly sucks is the "chain". That huge aoe doesnt let you choose who the pull in, the activation is slow and its just a dumb skill haha.

The warden has some good utility but it does pale compared to the Dk. If used to the DK it'll seem awkward.

Warden lack a root ans all purpose shield and the chains listed above. Just naming a few key skills.

Warden does have the chance to reduce the targets damage significantly (30% I think but just a chance.) group AoE damage reduction buffans access to the only non-CP means for major heroism.

OK, don't get discouraged, Wardens are not that far off from DKs. You can definitely make a good and viable PvE Tank with a Warden. It plays very similar to a DK as well with only a few differences.

As I pointed out, it has good aspects. However, I feel naked when on my warden.

Oh, and I forgot, warden is one of two classes that has access to the protection bufff from class skills. I think it's only Templar and warden. With those buffs in class skills.

    So what would I run?

Yep! Wardens can make strong tanks. If you want to build a Warden tank I would encourage it :)

If building with Green Pact and Plague Doctor, keep in mind both sets are getting nerfs to their 5-piece bonuses next patch.

They make great tanks. They help a lot with the healing side. Sure, they miss chains, but so does every other class except dk. The have a root I think (one morph of the ice spikes).

For 4 man content, all classes can tank pretty well anyway.

Honestly, I'd run ebon, seducer, monster set of choice. Ebon for good health and group buff, seducer to sustain buffs and heals. Just make sure Stam is higher then magica (even if it's by 1) so you get Stam back from shards and orbs.

When I level my Stam warden up I'll turn him to tank first for undaunted. Much easier to queue as tank. I'll use that gear sertup (which I do on my dk tank and have done on a sorc tank too).
