I vote magsorc people only think that stamblade are strong because of proc sets and when cloak works its strong.Remove them and its magsorcs.Meduim armor sucks balls and Cloak still break at times on abilities that shouldn't break it.

You're going to get the best clips (1vX's) on Stamblade—however, Stamblade is actually pretty hard to play compared to everything else—so in that respect, it could also be seen as MagSorc. However, assuming you're playing the class to it's full potential—Stamblade is the best.

Open world pvp is in the title question.

1v1 surprise ganking is not in the question.

    Hence my answer.

LOL at all who voted Mag sorc - a mag sorc with a noob 10 man Zerg will die, a stam nb can escape and pick them off, other classes like mag dk mag temp, stam dk will all survive.

3 good but not great players will kill a mag sorc but then 3 players will struggle against other classes.

Mag sorc is good very good but many are actually terrible on it in Pvp

Shields, Mines and Streak makes it very easy to kite and fortify a space.

Stamblade/Magblade can be amazing open world because of cloak/fear. Once cloak is denied they die basically. Detect potions just cripple nightblades. Theres no potion that cripples a MagSorc.

In general: player skill > class . I've seen every class perform exceptional and complete trash in basically all pvp scenarios.

Stamblade (or procblade  ) and magsorc. Burst & disengage.

With procsets getting hit by the nerfhammer, sorcs will be superior.

    As in? (https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/364601/pc-na-sotha-sil-53-ad-at-one-resource#)
Power level to CP160 in a week:
Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

For anyone who was played super smash bros, mag sorc is like the 'Fox' of ESO.

Quite possibly the most powerful, or one of the most powerful, but not to the point where it is considered too cheap or broken.

One day after the poll is created, 70% of participants have selected 2 classes as the most powerful overall. 55% selected 1 class, the mag Sorc. I don't have the numbers/data on ZOS' side, but clearly this imbalance in the game has led to uncompetitive PVP gameplay and resulting in Cyrodiil being an absolute ghost town. Servers barely get filled up except for one 30 day CP campaign.

Two mechanics in general are too strong because mainly there are no diminishing returns or cost increases for spamming such powerful mechanics: SHIELD STACKING and CLOAK.

The mechanic themselves aren't the issue, because shields are used as a way to heal and cloak is used to mitigate damage, but the fact that you can spam the mechanics endlessly and STILL dish out max damage and have max mobility.

PVP is the content that has the most replay value in the game. And having people log into your game frequently helps the company stay in business. Most of the viral marketing comes from PVP videos created by players. PVE content is one and done and gets stale real fast. Working harder to increase the level of competitiveness among classes in PVP should be a top priority.

It is rather simple one. If you do not face TS/Discord highly organised group but pugs and similar, equipping a VD set and just spamming mage's wrath will absolutely annihilate all but tankiest lifeforms on the enemy side.

    Mag Sorc
    Mag Sorc.

    Why?

    They have (arguably):

-Amazing mobility to kite people from zergs (probably the most important for open world)
-High shields / shield-stacking potential to prevent a ton of damage
-High burst (crystal frags, curse, etc.)
-Amazing sustain (20% to magicka and stamina recovery, also return on endless fury)
    -One of the strongest executes
-Ground AoE (mines) to hinder melee
    -Access to Resto Staff ulti
-Can spam Dark Deal for inf sustain if they really wanted to.

Stam NB is a close second but get seriously screwed over by detect pot spammers and has more counters to cloak than streak does (i.e. limited cloak uses b/c of low magicka, broken skills that reveal from stealth). Otherwise they are viable with:

    -High evasion / mobility
-Cloak and Shadow Image. Best for tower trolling.
-Easily the best single-target dps, especially incap (healing debuff + stun + high burst + 20% damage buff)
-Has Fear, probably the best tank-buster
    -Decent sustain (15% from passives?)
-Burst heal (rally) and HoTs (vigor, rally)

Of course they have drawbacks like every other class, stam NB being much harder to play.

A good indication is given by the leaderboard of campaigns. Some days ago, at the end of Vivec, the most populated campaign on EU PS4 server, the first 100 players (all alliances) were:

    39 templars
    22 sorcerers
    20 dragon knights
    15 nightblades
    4 warden

There is no distinction between magicka and stamina build, however.

You're joking right? In general, people on top of the leaderboards are some of the worst players in the game in terms of time played:skill demonstrated. Like in 9/10 cases. How long you play or how much ap you farm with your zerg guild is a terrible indicator of class performance.

Overall magic sorc this is not a nerf sorc comment it's the truth they have bolt escape great shields for defense and a strong execute. They play great in groups with encase and negate and can solo just fine too.

No other class brings to the table wat a magic sorc does overall to group and solo play

Of course it's not a divine truth, and of course the skilfulness of single players has a crucial role, but it is certainly better than the subjective impressions of players who think "Classes X/Y/Z always get me rekt, so classes X/Y/Z are OP". If we want some objective, statistical, hard data, here is where we have to go.

Depends on the player... btw is this just a stealthy method to get mag sorc nerfed?

Don't worry ZoS won't touch their favorite class, it's pretty obvious by now.
