I vote Stam NB. The stealth mechanic is extremely powerful. There are setups that can slip in an out combat at will. They have 3k stam regen, 1.5k mag regen, and hit burst well over 12k-15k over 1-2 seconds. If you survive the burst and reveal them from stealth, the NB turns a corner and stealths right back up again. They come right back in for their 2nd round of burst and you're dead. If you encounter a group of 2-4 of the setups in open world, you're done son.

Depends on too many variables, there isn't an "I win everything" class no matter how much some people believe there is.

It depends so much on your own skill, what you want to be doing with the class and what gear/skills you have and even then whatever you've set up for will have some counter if the enemy brings it.

as a mag sorc myself our ability to hammer down a huge amount of damage reliably with a little sprinkle of RNG (for frag proc) and repeatedly, thank daedra for curse explosions being so potent and reliable and mage fury for being so overkill

I found magsorc to be the easiest. Stamblade is a close second but there's a couple of factors that make the magsorc shine:

1) inexpensive yet incredibly powerful damage shield. Unlike dodge rolling, cloak, and healing; damage shields are always dependable, powerful, and easier on your resources than say dodging, and blocking.

2) Both Nightblades and Sorcs have great burst. A magsorc's burst comes from abilities that you can use on demand. Whereas a stamblades burst is built upon activating their spectral bow, and their ultimate.

3) okay I personally think Shadow Image is way more awesome, and potentially more powerful than streak. However, streak you can use reactively, and mindlessly. Shadow image requires foresight, and strategic placement. You also need a target to cast Shadow image as well.

4) The freaking destro ult.

It's mainly because of Bolt Escape. Shields aren't as great as people seem to think, and Sorc burst is very easy to predict and avoid. The ability to just leave the fight whenever you want is the strongest thing to have open world. Burst and defensive mobility are the keys to open world.

If you gave every magicka spec streak, probably Magplar or Magden.

No nerf needed to start with.
I found sorc easiest to learn. It has always been a top performing class. I also have the hardest time fighting sorcs.
But it is always up to the player you fight really.

Shields are arguably the greatest defense in the game, arguably greatest burst in the game with curse frag mages wrath, access to the two most overperforming magicka ultimates destro and resto ultimate, arguably greatest mobility with streak and numerous more defensive abilities in mines, defensive rune etc. Why they haven't been nerfed yet only lord knows.

Well it's no real secret that the magsorc is a favorite at ZOS. Rich Lambert mains a magsorc, and do you remember the ESO Live they aired where the devs were dueling? All but one was a magsorc. And we all know it's hard for the majority of people to say their own class is OP.

Mag sorc is by far the easiest in the game, its actually a joke. I never play my mag sorc because of how stupidly easy it is. I just personally get no pleasure from doing something on easy mode and prefer a challenge.

I wouldnt be surprised if ZOS buffed them in the next patch after HotR

Stamina nightblade and magicka sorc are the only contenders here for the top spot, as these are the only classes with high burst and options for total disengage.

Now between the two, magicka sorc is easier to pull off and more accessible. But if both are played at the absolute top tier, stamina nightblade is superior. The reason for this is that the stamblades damage profile is quicker and front loaded where as the sorcs burst is on the back end of their combo. As such, stamblade can quickly eliminate opponents faster in a 1vX situation than a sorc can. Additionally, and equally importantly, the stamblades burst is much less predictable than a sorcs.

Open battle mag sorc has many tools. Good cc, high burst, DoTs and a delayed execute(which is propably my reason why sorcs are retarted OP shield stacking can be countered, an execute that triggers while they damage you with other spells and also cant be dodged is unbalanced especially when they have an execute passive too) and some decent healing and resource return.

Stam NB is best in ganking but once the gank fails or defended against they are easy prey

For solo open world pvp stam nb is the best since cloak, shadow image,medium armor mobility and unpredicable burst from stealth is just too good.
Second best class is mag sorc good mobility due to streak but shadow image, cloak and dodging beats in my opinion the toolkit that sorcs have especial if you are outnumbered.
Third place all other stam classes due to shuffle snare removal
All other magica classes are unplayable since you do not have any mobility with all the snares.

For group play mag templer or mag warden are just extrem op and no other class comes even close.

I hope this doesn't turn into a Nerf Sorc thread. I main mDKs... I only want buffs to other classes to bring balance.

I got better play with a Magplar (and more kills). Even people say magsorc is easy mode, i find it more difficult to play and boring than templar.
