Believe me I'm just as perplexed. This person was part of my guild, she left because she didn't think I was a good guild leader. Fair enough, I even apologized to her for it not working out, all was cool I thought. Most of the people in Riften have her blocked because she is know to start this kinda crap. I was warned about her.

I RP'd at a Dunmer ball in Vivec one night, I made my rounds, flirted some. Later after I went back to Riften there she was, first things she said was "how's that flirting thing going" and she proceeded to mud ball me for an hour. You're guess is as good as mine.

Well basically role playing is when you act like your character in the game is a real person. You work, you play, you have a profession, you interact with other players as if you are in a story and they are your friends/enemies that you see on a daily basic. You have relationships, you get married, you get in fights. You just act like your in a play basically the world of Tamriel is the real world.

Based on what I have read, this is definitely harassment.

However you're not alone. I'm a relatively new returnee and know just about no one. For the last couple of weeks I've had people attempting to harass me when I stand still in congested areas. Note that I said attempted. That's because people that like to harass others don't like it when the table is turned.

Mudd balls? Stand inside them. Throw a couple of emotes at them.... Like "kiss my a.." or blow them a kiss. You're RP'r use that to your advantage. They're children, just treat them that way.

Of all else fails... RP moving to a new city...

Tried dueling. Guess they're scare to look like the worms they are, groveling in the dirt. I'll keep reporting every time it happens until ZOS gets the hint.

Now, seriously, some of the hardcore roleplaying people seemed always a little bit awkward, even scary to me. I would certainly be afraid of them in real life much more than some of the angry, throwing fks around pvpers. You can fairly easily manage an aggressive brute, you can rarely see a psychopath coming. Maybe that's what happens?

Nevertheless, casting at you for hours and disturbing/flaming you is just plain childish. Everyone argues every now and then, uses strong language and all, but common, for hours or even weeks? Some people just shouldn't play games.

At some point I had to add to ignore list one erper that was hitting hard on one of my female characters and wouldn't listen when I explained that I'm a dude and asked him nicely to f. off

Actually I'm role playing as a Breton noble who is a bachelor. I'm a complete gentleman who makes harmless compliments to people to start conversations. You obviously aren't a role player. It's a ball, people mingle.

Are you serious? Maybe harmless to you. Apparently someone doesn't think your comments aren't so 'harmless"

You know maybe you shouldn't comment until you actually know the difference between IC/OOC. If saying someone looks nice is going to send someone off the deep end then maybe they need to stay out or RP, they are doing it wrong. These are IN CHARACTER actions, and never have I approached anyone's character and said something openly rude as an introduction. You want interaction, not everyone to avoid you.

Yeah, I should be harassed for eternity for such a thing. Actually, later this player said she was offended that I called her an Altmer...even though she is an Altmer. If you think this is bad, then I thank the 8 you're not a role player.

Maybe, just maybe she wasn't impressed by your role playing? Maybe as someone mentioned earlier. 'Seems to me you might need to do a little soul searching' That comment went right over your head. You couldn't possibly have offended someone because you were just role playing. They have targeted you for no reason.

I have changed my name several time due to the harassment of these exact type of groups. People out me because I confide in them that I was under a previous name to which they contact the troll element to harass me again. Its a process. You don't always know who is friends with who. If "flirting" with make believe characters in a game, which is what RP is, is an offense then I am guilty. But that is something I'm not in control of. I cannot control how they react. I have never brought my frustrations IC to harass someone at ANY time. I'll RP even with people I hate for the sake of RP before I ever bring a bunch of BS into the game to create an issue. I don't work that way. I always leave them separate. I had done my best to AVOID these people and they are seeking me out to harass me, its not the other way around in any way shape or form. I don't do this to other people. This is the "deflection" I talk about all the time. Regardless of how bad I've been trolled, harassed etc, somehow I must have started it by behaving inappropriately.

You still fail to understand the basics of RP. If she wasn't impressed by my RP, she could make an excuse and walk away from it. She actually continued to RP with me, and later said she was not offended by anything I said when all this BS went down. There is always an option not to RP with someone you don't think is a good person or a good RPer. No one forces anyone to RP with you. Anyone can blow you off at any time. I'm not there to impress anybody, I'm there to be my character and act like his story defines. Flirting happens, sometimes its successful, sometimes not. Its all part of RP.
