I think it's time for a Shadow Image adjustment. This ability is great in theory, but in practice can feel extremely clunky.
There are a few issues with the skill.
1. Currently the skill requires a target, which can make the skill feel clunky to use. Sometimes it won't cast when it clearly looks like it does. This happens because the target was in range at the time of the cast, but has since moved out of range when the animation finishes. This has left me high and dry many times when I go to teleport back to the shade to realize it never cast when it looked like it did at the time.
2. The range is very short. When placing the shade you want to fight away from it so that you can teleport back when you get into trouble. The combination of requiring a target and the short range don't give you much room to work with and you end up teleporting something like 10 meters and thus not confusing anyone.
To make this skill feel less clunky I would propose one of the following changes, or maybe a combination.
1. Make the shade castable without a target. (This is my number 1 solution to make the skill feel less clunky).
2. Increase the range to something like 35m.
3. Keep the cast range, but make the teleport range infinite while retaining the timer.

Its already easy to use, practice. If you're not catching the failed cast it's on you. I have no issue with those skill and use it to great effect.
Try using it behind a corner or a los object. That'll help you be able to stay in teleport range but not seen even you activate.

lol wut!? If I don't catch a bug, that's on me!? And you can't cast it unless you have lost on an enemy. Know things before you talk about them.

The bug of it not going off bc you moved out of range is not a bug, its poor play. You can easily cast it behind a tree with a target, i do it all the time.
You're positioning is vital to this skill, and also how you control the position of the enemy. Ps4 na, I'll show you how if you want.
