I just wished they toned the looks down just a little. My nightblade was a vampire for a little while and I hated how she looked. Once she leveled it all the way I cured her.

It was really immersion breaking for me. Why was this obviously dead monster allowed to go about her business in towns surrounded by guards? And seriously, nobody noticed that a black khajiit lost her spots and turned white? She is blond now so maybe the change won't be so bad.

I don't want vampires to be beautiful sparkling creatures. I just want them to be able to pass for normal at a quick glance, but to be very noticeable if someone was paying attention.

I have considered roleplaying my character as a vampire, just not infecting her. There is one strain that can only be detected by candlelight and I think that is neat.

Yup that's another reason. In skyrim for example, vampirism looks more subtle and even so townsfolk talk about your pale skin. In eso you walk around as a bloated corpse and nobody cares??!!

I agree Twilight has ruined many generations but the "Vampires are supposed to be monsters" line should just become a meme, seriously it's getting old... If that's the case a Lycanth should only be able to use their transform during a full moon.

I have one vampire, but I'm in partial agreement with this post.

Imo, I think if a character is in stage one, there should be NO difference in appearance. The concept is, a well feed vampire is a healthy vampire. And like a healthy human, you look normal, and one always does.

Then, a like a human who becomes ill, we look it. "Dude, you look like sh*t."

As the vampire progresses from stage 2-4, I'm agreeable that their skin becomes more pale, the purplish veins appear, and the eyes darken. These 3 characteristics become more and more pronounced as the stage progresses.

No matter what, this concept should prevail. A healthy, well feed, vampire should look like any other character. It gives the ability to blend in, walk among the people, and hide in plain sight. A predator able to walk among it's prey.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in Skyrim didn't the NPC's attack you if you allowed yourself to be noticed as a vampire? I'd even be agreeable to having the guards attack you in ESO at stage three or four. This will give motivation to stay at stage one and a reason why looking normal is beneficial.

I too am in partial agreement with your post ^^.

Stage 1 no effects is another good alternative to the current state.
However stage 2-4 would remain unchanged and I don't agree with that. Atm vampirism just looks bad, and whether or not you want your vampires to be hot or frightening I don't think anyone wants them to look "bad" or "stupid" as they do now ;) .

Pretty sure the whole "tearing blood out forcibly through magical telekinesis" thing isn't canon. At least not for normal feeding. Only the player feeds like this in the game, despite the book on our strain clearly indicating that it is the most common of the current era. It looks idiotic, doesn't make a single bit of sense, and completely defeats the purpose of a vampire's stealthy nature. It's really the only thing I can't stand about vampires in this game.

So, while I like vampires the way they are, I'm in full support of players being given fangs. While they're at it, they need to completely change the way feeding works. It's horribly designed. Let us give actual bites

The playerbase has been asking for a way to hide the vamp skin LITERALLY for FOUR YEARS now. Our pleas continue to fall on deaf ears. The lore of TES justifies this ability. The GAME ITSELF presents several vampires that LOOK NORMAL at least part of the time. There is NO "advantage" to being able to "hide" the vampire skin in PvP. There is LITERALLY no logical reason for ZOS to keep denying players this ability. And if they'd make it a crown store Skin they'd make a freaking fortune. I am still at a loss as to why we are being ignored on this after all this time.

What would fangs be for, you are literally magically drinking blood through the air? Was the same in MW; different in Skyrim? Whats the lore on this?

In skyrim you bite their neck and you have fangs. ^^

Did not know this! But from what i just read (like 5 minutes ago), there are nine different strains in the lore, which the fanged ones are Sanguinare Vampiris created by Molag Baal, whereas the TESO vamps sound like Noxiphilic Sanguivoria? Who get cursed by Maara/ cured by Arkay or not?

Noxiphilic Sanguivoria is given by Lamae Beolfag, who, yes technically was "given" to her by Molag Bal(in the same way a hooker might give someone crabs), and it's not "cursed by Mara/cured by Arkay" its more along the lines of "hate both Molag Bal and Arkay"

Also there's like 18 different known bloodlines of vampirism, but only 3 strains (Noxiphilic Sanguivoria, Porphyric Hemophilia, and Sanguinare Vampiris)

As far as the sun goes, since this is a game rather than a fictional story and needs to be playable, I would say the sun at stage 1 the has no effect. Stages to through for you could say that during the daytime hours (06:00-18:00), the negative effects of each stage has a 5% increase for each stage. This only further incentivizes a player to remain healthy and well-fed.
