Well, it was 3 years ago when the game first came out, I had no idea what I was doing, honestly. If I could go back and redo, Id have it all on one. I'm too lazy now to even bother with it, whats done is done. lol

you can still level up the other 3 on your armor weapon crafter.

I have on main crafter that gets to learn all the motifs and recipes and stuff, and 3 more that just do max level writs :P

I'm *** about this kind of thing and I can feel the long, painful, expensive road ahead if I make the switch.

I have 6 crafters. Only 1 knows all the traits, motifs, recipes, etc, but they all are level 50 and I use them to do daily writs to help pay for my pvp potion addiction.

It takes a lot of time and mats to get them set up, but once you do you can make so much money with master writs and gold/purple mats to sell.

Some people split the crafting between characters to save on skill points and speeds up research on traits. I guess it depends how much time you want to invest. Having 1 character that can do everything is so much easier, but the trait research takes forever.

Yep. I have 1 supercrafter (all crafts maxed), 2 doing alchemy, 2 provisioning, and about 5 with maxed clothing/blacksmith/woodworking. That's about 10 crafters out of 14 toons?

Do you only have one motif collector? and do you have multiple doing alchemy for laziness in switching for pots?

Also in terms of master writs, if two toons had motifs then it would increase the chances of getting master writs would it not?

One for Blacksmith, Clothing, Woodworker (Working on item traits ranks 7,8,9)
    One for Enchanting.
    One for Alchemy.
One for Provisioning with another two planned once they're leveled and have spare skill points. (due to Bervez Juice, Frost Miriam and ease of writs).

Yep. The "supercrafter" gets all the motifs, recipes, etc., first. If I get another copy, then it goes to another toon, unless I need money and then it goes to the trader (been happening lately).

The multiples doing alchemy or provisioning or enchanting is because it's über-easy to the level those crafts (if you got the mats already). It they were boring to level up, then I'd only have one of each.

it might. but given my personal experience with rng... it will likely be cheaper to buy the extra master writs, vs trying to increase your luck in getting them. I mean.. half the time my main crafter gets 6 voucher ones if she gets any at all... meanwhile alt who is just lvl 50 and has no research done whether traits or motifs? gets 100 writ armor vouchers. so.... in my anecdotal experience, its just not worth the bother to motif out more then one character. YMMV

You might prefer to have them on all toons. Or you might like alchemy on all for the availability of pots. My problem was I was thinking of switching motifs and research to my new favourite character, but it would be time consuming and expensive.

Ahh. I don't count my toons as being crafters if I level their provisioning for food/beverage duration increases, so I omitted things like that entirely.

I do the above, but I only have one character that I use all motifs, furniture schematics and recipes on. I suppose if I ever truly finish the one, I might start on a second just because why not, but that's a consideration for the far off future.

    12. But only my main has all the traits researched. Crafting Daily Writs are a good source of income, the more characters you have doing it the greater chance of getting Legendary upgrade mats and Survey Maps to replenish my stock. I don't do the Writs until the characters have 10/10 in all Blacksmithing, Clothing, and Woodworking so they're making the same kind of items with the same drop off point. Sell the Ornate, keep the normal and intricate items for alts who aren't maxed crafting to deconstruct.

Enchanting up to at least 32 and Provisioning up to 48 for 3/3 Hireling, Provisioning also for the 20 minutes bonus eaten timer. Alchemy to 50 on all for 3/3 Potion duration buff.

Yes, right now I have two. The one I thought was going to be my main turned out not to be my main, but she had crafting motifs that were available in the crown store for a limited time. The one who actually turned out to be my main doesn't have the same motifs, but has others. Together, the two of them know a whole lot of traits and motifs.

If I can't get something done with one of my crafters, I can usually get it done with the other.

I have 8 characters to level 50 in all crafts, 6 of these are currently researching their 8th trait, 1 has long been an 8 trait crafter and my first main is 9 trait, has learned every motif and recipe I have found and does all my crafting.

I have multiple characters with complete max crafting, but only 1 gets all the recipes and motifs and everything. The rest, if I have them and I can't sell them for a decent amount then they can have them. My main is the only character I care about getting all the things on.

1 for me, not paying another 20m+ just for another character to have all motifs, and the traits are useless without motifs imo.

But I do however have multiple crafters for writs every day that just have basic max level crafting which are 9 alts.
