Why did you not do them all on one?

you can still level up the other 3 on your armor weapon crafter.
I'm too lazy now to even bother with it, whats done is done. lol

I have on main crafter that gets to learn all the motifs and recipes and stuff, and 3 more that just do max level writs :P

I'm thinking of switching my crafter to my 'new main'. The only problem is he doesn't know any motifs or research, as opposed to my main who has almost all motifs and all research completed. I'm *** about this kind of thing and I can feel the long, painful, expensive road ahead if I make the switch.

Yep. I have 1 supercrafter (all crafts maxed), 2 doing alchemy, 2 provisioning, and about 5 with maxed clothing/blacksmith/woodworking. That's about 10 crafters out of 14 toons?

unless you are planning to delete the old main.. I'm not sure why you'd switch? I mean its up to you and all, just... /shrug (also cooking enchanting and alchemy are relatively easy and fast to level. armor/weapons? not so much)
Yep. The "supercrafter" gets all the motifs, recipes, etc., first. If I get another copy, then it goes to another toon, unless I need money and then it goes to the trader (been happening lately).Do you only have one motif collector? and do you have multiple doing alchemy for laziness in switching for pots?

Also in terms of master writs, if two toons had motifs then it would increase the chances of getting master writs would it not?

it might. but given my personal experience with rng... it will likely be cheaper to buy the extra master writs, vs trying to increase your luck in getting them. I mean.. half the time my main crafter gets 6 voucher ones if she gets any at all... meanwhile alt who is just lvl 50 and has no research done whether traits or motifs? gets 100 writ armor vouchers. so.... in my anecdotal experience, its just not worth the bother to motif out more then one character. YMMV
No. Why would I?

that is some decent rng right there. my master crafter max was 55 vouchers.
