Crown Store 15 day research scrolls with no cooldown

Honestly, these scrolls should yield instant research completion regardless of how many days. I do not use them (my research is all done thank you very much) but I do not have a problem with crown store research or, for that matter, riding lesson purchasing of time. What I thought was comical was putting research scrolls in the store that basically didn't do anything. That was a real facepalm. Now they half do something as the last researches take like 30 days. Still a little bit of a head scratcher if you ask me.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

Time locked should never have been a thing, but now they are profiting from it.

A crafting system where work is all that counts, not time would have been much better overall. Want to research Infused? Pull apart 100 Infused items. Something anything but time locked would have made crafting much more feasible 3 years ago and not put most people off with the extremely odd timings having to log in when they can't to start timers that are going to last a total of over 238 days (120 for woodworking) to become a master crafter with no way you can do anything about it.

I didn't mind the 1 day scrolls though for master writs, it can mean a little more than the work you put in, can be rewarded by reducing the time taken to research.

The timers are even immersion breaking. I take a single item, and then magically in x hours to y days depending on how many other things I learned I suddenly know how to make it? Each should have been a skill line that gains exp by attempting to craft it, or by deconstructing an item with it. ~ Far more immersion friendly, easy to balance and rewards hard work, not this stupid ass timer system.

~ Been holding that in for 3 years thanks.

I've got no beef with this. All this does is reduce the time. It's not like it's giving them a unique trait thats OP.

I'm personally more than happy to let the proverbial "whales" pay zos an expansion's worth in crowns for an item that may have taken one dev an hour to implement. By all means, let them finance future content with their impatience.

As far as Im concerned, anything that lets me trade effort for time is fine by me.
Their existing "Research" system is ludicrous anyway.
What exactly, is my character "Researching"?

"Hrmm...let me see, this stick is shaped just like any other stick, but has this mysterious effect. Let me destroy it while I ponder how it does what it does, and then in 30 days I should miraculously have the answer."

    Total Garbage system.
All the other aspects: material farming, refinement, et al are fine.
These require time investment on the part of the player that they can control, not some artificially enforced time-gate by the ZoS gods.

    "Master Crafter"
    Pfffffff.
All that means is you have been playing for longer and in the case of some, paying ZoS for longer.
That has nothing to do with anything "Earned".

    Spot on.

Certain users in here calling everyone "whiny babies" ... they're just butthurt that someone else might be able to get 9 traits faster than they did. There's no skill, no effort, nothing but "I logged in every [x] days and pressed a couple of buttons." It's no different than mount training.

It's got nothing to do with wanting other people to "earn" Master Crafter status; it's about wanting other people to suffer just because you did.

Fine by me. I would never even consider using one. I buy games to play them, not to pay to skip the game. But if others want to throw money at the game, so be it.

Ideally, it would make the most sense to not allow paying for leveling unless an account has made it to 50 once.

Yeah, I have all 9 traits, but it has no impact on me if other people have all 9 traits. Many many many people already do, so the "economy" and "devalueing" arguments are crap.

What we need are some solid buffs to crafted sets. Hundings and Julianos are good, but the rest is rubbish and need serious attention.
Especially the 8 and 9 trait sets.
Also nirnhoned should be buffed to be BiS for both armour and weapons (not by a huge amount, but some). That alone will increase the desirability of crafted sets at end game since you can't get nirn drops.

I don't mind the lack of jewellery crafting IF the crafted sets are stronger than drop sets because you can only run 1 5pc crafted set that way.

For me this feature gets a resounding "meh..."

I have all but 3 traits researched, and those are in process. I sat at 6 traits for the longest time because there were no sets that required more than 6 traits that were even worth crafting. I slowly got all traits except nirn and then I went ahead and finished it off when I started getting a lot of nirn trait stones during one of the events.

The bottom line is there isn't a point in doing the research unless you want a slightly better chance getting master writs, and you want to be able to craft everything, or you are just a completionist (me in this case, since I don't even do writs every day any more). The only people that will use these are the ones that buy crown crates and get them as a reward, or someone that gets a juicy master writ and has to be able to craft it today.

If BiS armor sets could be crafted with 9 traits I might feel a little differently, but since most 9 trait crafted sets are pretty lackluster I don't understand why anyone really cares.

People buy stuff. If they want to buy these, its completely irrelevant to me. I did it the slow way on my master crafter...and my alts are doing it even slower with just one research slot each. If someone wants to pay thousands of real life dollars to power level these...I just don't care.

    What an actual joke.

The start of P2W. The greed is unreal.

Aw I wonder if all the whinging little nobodies who said this wouldn't happen when the payment model changed, are still around.

Nothing to say now I expect, even if they are. What a surprise. Told you so yada yada. Roll on everyone, the cash cow is picking up speed!
