Snakes are cute ): Paul your snake is adorable. I'm more of a boa person, myself.

Some people dislike snakes as they find them boa-ring! But I too like snakes!

So is there an application process or something for becoming an ambassador? Or must the Divines simply chose those whom they deem worthy?

Bless me Azura, that I may lurk the forums for you with great zeal!

    How are Community Ambassadors chosen?

Community Ambassadors are nominated by you, the community! If you would like to submit a community member for consideration for the Community Ambassador Program, please send an email to community@elderscrollsonline.com and include the nominee’s forum name (or any other alias) and a description of why you believe they would make a great Community Ambassador. We will not be accepting self-nominations, and the ESOTU Community Team will ultimately make the final decision on who is chosen for this program.

    Hahaha, you got it @Rohamad_Ali

A VOTE FOR @dpencil1 IS A VOTE FOR SKOOMA!

Also, for convenience, I'll post my forum stats from both accounts:
    Active since: August 2015
    Points: 726 + 815
    Badges: 16 + 18
    Insightfuls: 149 + 143 = 292
    Agrees: 328 + 377 = 705
    Awesomes: 95 + 150 = 245
    Over 900 total comments

I didn't add the Points and Badges together because they're basically duplicates between the two accounts.

My most recent contribution is creating and managing the "[Community Project] Set Bonus Think-Tank" thread. Also, I was one of the community managers for the gaming site, Stompfest, for a number of years.

This thread delivers some community joy and also education. Thanks, @Paulington. I'd never even heard of the False Water Cobra before. Now I've spent some time researching it online.

On a related note, I'm now really far behind at work....

Never heard of one either and am mildly interested in such things, very cool!

Hydronastes gigas are wonderful animals, very switched on and beyond intelligent. This snake is a female named Dyna, from her binomial name. Whilst they are very aggressive feeders (and eat almost anything) they are very docile animals when not in eating mode. Their venom is incredibly mild and they have a terrible delivery system, having taken a bite myself through stupidity it is just fine.

If you'd like to know anything more, feel free to PM me. :).

Totally love the Community Spotlight. I somewhat feel that all that creative talent here is not as visible, so it's really good for that.

We typically share a lot of community creations on our Twitter and Tumblr pages. Do you have ideas how we can make these more visible? We'd love to hear them. :)

I don't know how effective this would be, but perhaps you could do a weekly (monthly? depends on your free time and the number of fan arts submitted daily) roundup of images to post in a curated thread in Community Creations, and do a call-out/link to it in the little blurbs we get in the launcher.

Pro: People who don't routinely find time to go to the Community Creations sub forum get a reminder, along with a smaller set of things to examine than trying to follow all the threads there. It makes a bit more one-stop-shopping than having to remember to check Twitter and Tumblr and who knows what else.

Con: Since not every fan submission will be in the call-out thread, feelings may get hurt. Also, more work for ZoS folks.

I note that GW2 does a monthly live stream, generally sparsely viewed (mea culpa on being part of the sparseness, I just don't remember to look for a stream on a Wednesday afternoon) in which they spotlight community art. All the art they show seems to be stuff I've seen on their Tumblr page, so I assume that is their source. Sometimes they do themes, like Nornvember -- they solicited art featuring norns a couple months in advance and picked some for the show. (They also pick from stuff submitted much earlier, even a year or two before, once it seems to fit in the stream). ESO Live occasionally includes fan art, perhaps you could feature one or two things each stream and offer a link to a more extensive collection site for interested viewers.

@Donari That's a cool idea as well, but I feel partly why we don't see much promoted by zos is that it takes a lot of time to hunt down and find the fanart and such. Do you know of any places that are a bit of a "hub" for this? I realize a lot use deviant art, I'm not too familiar, is there "communitys" on the site where it's easier to see the TES/ESO related art?

You can search by tags, I think.

The ESO subreddit has a pretty good collection of fanart from what I remember- I mostly browse reddit on mobile and don't click on many images, but I've seen some good stuff there. Could expand it to nice/funny screenshots, too.

I do receive the Twitter alerts when community art is retweeted. I'm not sure if Facebook would also be a worthwhile place to post community creations. But if you're trying to make these things more visible to forum-goers specifically, maybe set up a "FEATURED" tag, similar to the "ANOUNCEMENT" tag, and have it be something a moderator can apply to a thread created by a community member. This would stick the thread to the top of the "Recent Disccusion" page. This could be for anything from artwork posted to interesting threads that are worth broad community attention. So every few days or weekly, you could set a differnet thread as "Featured." Like this week, the write up that @Joy_Division did for making the most of the Midyear Mayhem event would be a perfect selection. Let that ride through the event so it's visibility doesn't just rely on people continually posting in it.

Here's a silly thought - post them on the official ESO forum.

I'm afraid I don't have a hub as such other than http://guildwars2.tumblr.com/#/# which I have permatabbed and occasionally check. They have rules there on how art is to be submitted and what permissions need to be given for it to be used by ANet in streams and the like. It's not really curated -- witness the occasional cussword in user names, and the very wide range of skill in the art. But it is definitely a concentrated spot to find loads of game-related art and is very easy to navigate; I see a number of Tumblrs that are just a column of large images so I give up after two or three. This one is very nice for seeing a lot at once, with the ability to expand and permalink favorites. A similar format might work well for ESO, assuming ESO doesn't already have something like that.

Then ZoS people could cull out particularly intriguing pieces, link them in a forum thread in Community Creations, and link said thread in the launcher blurbs as I suggested. Which in turn would get people into the CC forum where they might pause and look around at other threads while there.

On topic to the thread: custom avatars for CA's is an awesome thing, Santie has the best one imo because CAT, and that is a beautiful snake (says me, who had a boa constrictor for a couple of years in college. His name was Changeling and he got rather fat).

Now you are getting beyond my ken, MissBizz. I don't have a Tumblr account myself, and while I used to do some pretty good pencil work my skills atrophied tremendously during a decade or two of inactivity. I only know what I've learned by perusing the site and seeing the occasional "this is how to submit" post from ANet there. Which actually can be accessed by clicking the "submit" tab at the top of the tumblr.

@OpponentSmile66 this is the most recent thread. When I'm not on mobile I can find the original.

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/348928/welcome-to-our-new-eso-community-ambassadors/p1

Essentially we are (or at least try to be) helpful on the forums, and work with the community team. Nothing game related, but suggest things to bring the community together, bring community suggestions up if we think the ESO community team may have missed something etc.

So we have no official say or power. We are not mods on the forum, and definitely don't talk direct to devs or have any kind of influence over the game. More like "hey we saw this thread that we think you guys should comment on" or "hey look at the cool art"

Many good mornings from this one.

When Khajiit she awoke and saw her name tagged 11 times the first thought was that perhaps there had been terrible accusations that Khajiit was really an elf - or worse an orc.

But no all it is well and Khajiit she is here to show off her own whiskers at along last.

The cutting out of the very fine features of Khajiit was done by my guildmaster Sid and then this one she added the background of many colourful balls of yarn with some technical advice from another guildmate Jack.

It took about 10 different portraits though to get to this one. Anyway Khajiit is pleased we are all no longer locked in that lighthouse together yes - the elves were starting to smell musty ...

Mostly once @Turelus got in, nobody wanted to have the chance of being mistaken for him. (I kid, I kid ;) )

THOUGH if you're assembling everyone. Let's add a bit of more constructive suggestions here.

Has everyone enjoyed the Community Spotlight and Battlemaster corners coming back? Any other community type articles you'd like to see?

Have any events people are holding in game?

    >:) I been trying to get accepted for it... accept the monster, battlemaster. Also would be nice to have snaps shouts of the lives of other community members in there niches. There's people questing, fishing, farming, moving product (merchants), stealing , killing, decorating, collecting lore (scholars), along with the typical adventurer, and raiders. It would be nice to remind people of all the diversity also push notice some sets weren't meant for adventures or raiders (prisoner rags for example is farmers gear).

On a different subject maybe highlight some silliess or randomness that happens in eso. I remember last year people had flash dance parties, Muball wars, hiding seek, or etc. I personally just jump of cliffs... I also secret suspect this passive was desinged for me.. (p.S thank you I die less in these questionable adventures)
