Community Requesting Event Extension *** POLL FOR ZOS ***

Pelinavant The Scrouge (Win a battleground match) is currently bugged an cannot be achieved. We, as a community, request an event extension for time lost to acquire Pelinavant The Scrouge. Considering this is an extremely hard achievement for some players, and is currently on a strict time based schedule which will not be attainable after the event ends... We believe it is only fair that this event be extended AT LEAST x days, x being a variable that is equal to the amount of days it takes @ZOS to fix their event. We are also open to x amount of crown crates for the inconvenience. We all know regardless of the skill capability of the devs and coders at ZOS, they do have a great rapport with the community and are always willing to keep the people happy.
We've determined that the fix for the Pelinavant the Scourge achievement requires server downtime to deploy. Due to this, we will roll out this fix during the PC/Mac maintenance window on Monday (July 24), and the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One maintenance window on Wednesday (July 26.)

Did no one in ZOS QC team even checked if the achievements are working or not? Do you guys leave everything for players to test and report back? We are not your Test Bots. We pay to play not pay to test your incompetence.

Other issues regarding this event:
-Cyro queues.
-Servers are down more than up.
-Many PVE only players (that hate pvping) clogging up the mediocre servers that we have, just to get certain limited time only achievements.
-There has been a significant uprising of people that want this event to end just so the servers can run properly. https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/361176/zos-give-everyone-all-the-achievs-and-end-this-event#latest

Jesus I'm at the point I hope they stop doing events, it inevitably leads to large amounts of tears. Complain about things that are free, complaing about this and that.

Seriously ZOS, why put yourself through this? All this whining about a tiara and an achievemet. Stop the madness before your forum floors get flooded.

Even though this may be a free event, it causes much more negativity than positivity, due to the way they handle the issues that are dealt to them. I personally nabbed the final achiev yesterday, still doesn't make a difference to all the players out there that may struggle trying to win bgs or need more time than normal getting 50 killing blows. There are a lot of very simple facts here... They advertised an event that has limited time only achievements/cosmetic rewards... They were yet again (happens every patch/event) extremely unprepared for it and released it with a ton of issues/bugs that literally made the entire population incapable of getting certain things for over half of the event length... Regardless of the event being free or not, it turns out to be a very negative affect to a large amount of people instead of positive. There are a very large amount of pve'rs (not good at pvp, at all) that are completionists and like to get every achievement possible, a certain form of "beating the game" if you will. The fact that ZOS releases events like this that have a limited time of getting certain achievements/cosmetics is beyond stupid. I mean I have well over 26k achiev points. The thought of looking at my summary page with a big blank space on achievements that will never be attainable again, due to the sheer incompetence of the development company is just disgusting. Opinions are opinions, some people do not care about achievements/cosmetics, then again many people do. IMO limited time achievs/cosmetics should not be a thing, all achievements should be attainable all the time.

Don't have limited time only achievements/cosmetics that are attainable only at certain times. If you do have limited time only things, make sure your event actually works at a satisfactory level. If it does not work, due to your direct incompetence and lack of any sort of quality control testing before you launch events or patches, fix it in a reasonable time (less than half the event length maybe?). If you cannot launch an event/patch properly (and don't really want to invest any time/money/man power into making sure it will work properly), and you don't really feel like fixing it until well over the halfway mark of the entire duration, maybe extend the event and give the players the amount of time you told them they would have to get the things they want. If you really cannot do any of the aforementioned things, probably would be a much better idea to not even host the event. If it was just double AP, nobody would have any issues. The fact is you have a massive amount of PVE achievement hunters that are all piling into a place where they never want to play, just to grab achievements. Fixing your servers isn't going to happen, its been well over 3 years... Just don't launch events/patches that are going to rage the majority of your player base. It is much better with the normal horrible lag/server performance than this current state of mayhem. Even though this may be a free event, it causes much more negativity than positivity, due to the way they handle the issues that are dealt to them.

Please leave comments regarding other issues you encounter and I will add them to the list accordingly, or just opinions to bump the thread.

ZOS has extended events for things like this where the game prevented an Achievement from being earned. So, hopefully they will on this one too.

The queues are horrible ... 350+ -- and I assume once I do get there, if I get there, the lag will be atrocious. One problem is that cyro is notorious for lag and loading screens that turn into a disconnect. Reconnecting puts you back where you were before you entered cyro (not to mention another queue to endure).

Maybe if there are events like this in cyro again, you could make a campaign or two just for the event.

We, as a community, do not feel that ZOS needs to add any extended event days as long as this is hot-fixed in a reasonable amount of time. There are many people who have to work more than others here, and they will still have the same amount of time (or less) to complete the achievements vs those who can play all day or do not have a job. We, as a community, are not entitled to anything. We, as a community, did not pay for this event. We, as a community, are not losing anything. It is a free event that we, as a community, do not have to participate in.

Thanks for the event, ZOS. Keep up the great work! Now I gotta get back to PVPing so I can earn those alliance points ;)

I went into Kyne who was had an queue to enter, don't think that have happened before :)
Was an 5 minutes wait, but once inside it was very smooth, no lag even in huge sieges with 20 siege engines and multiple zerg groups, have had worse lag in group dungeons.

In this case it should be extended to 8/3, they can turn it off at any time they did so with the anniversary event who stopped during play. Here they simply stop giving out boxes and disable the double AP scroll.

90% of the community agrees with my opinion, yet only 10% agree with yours. Keep in mind these achievements can only be obtained during this event. So people who planned on getting all of them done this week and do not have time to play next week are in a very uncomfortable place. Of course this is all relating to people that actually care about achievements. Personally having well over 26k achievement points, and almost everything done on my main toon, I would lose it if I was not able to complete all of them so I can see where 90% of the community is coming from. Why would anyone disagree honestly? You are not a fan of double AP?

Monday is not a reasonable amount of time for people at the start of holiday season, where people will almost certainly be on vacation starting.....you guessed it, Monday. Therein lies the problem. A large part of the community will get excluded from this achievement (and if it was just an achievement, I wouldn't really care) and the cosmetic reward that comes with it (which, by the way, looks totally awesome). I do NOT wish for anyone to miss out on that because of a BUG and a 4-day delay on a bugged achievement fix.

As of right now, 71 people voted to extend the time according to your poll. There are thousands of players. 81 votes is not 90% of the community. I love the double AP and wouldn't mind having it all the time, or for just a little bit longer. I just don't think it is necessary for ZOS to give us something longer. Everyone feels they are entitled to things these days. I am kinda tired of it. I want a game that works because I paid for it. I did not pay for the FREE event. It is just a bonus. I agree, if this poll had thousands of more votes the people that agree with you would be much lower than 10%. I would say around 2-3% max. If you are going to put on an event, that is not needed and is free, then put it on properly or don't put it on at all. There is absolutely no justification on the mass amount of bugs/broken functions that are released at launch of patches or events... Fixing in a timely manner in their opinion is "yea just wait a week and it will be fixed in the next maintenance" which is actually pretty sad. Considering the achievements and cosmetic rewards associated with this event (that are only obtainable during this event), event extension is the only ethical solution.

Having fun with your double ap while the servers are down?

    Yes, extend the event!
Extend it because after a 3 hour queue I get about an hour of playtime before being disconnected. Rinse and repeat.

No, end the event on time.
I don't really feel there needs to be an expansion.

11 days is a long time.

You only need 1 win for the bugged achiev as well.
