How to beat Wardens 101

So after the recent amount of topics and comments discussing the overpowerness of mwardens I've decided to write this detailed guide on how to easily beat them, please bear with me.

1. Identify when wardens are casting Deep Fissures. It's that bluish aura on their feet. It's hard to miss, really.
2. Make sure you are holding block 3 seconds after they do.
3. ???
4. Profit.

Congrats!! You have successfully learnt how to beat wardens. Now you are just facing a watered down msorc with lesser shields, even more repetable and predictable patterns, no form of hard Cc whatsoever, and no mobility that expose them so hard to snares and roots.

You can now stop with the mindless complains, thx.

Edit. Got pointed out the correct color of the aura. Now is truly a bulletproof guide, thanks.

Forgot to mention how both that ability and cliff racers are undodgeable. Forgot to mention their amazing ability for burst healing. Forgot to mention their rather solid sustain.

Don't get me wrong, I kill Wardens all the time, but much like skilled magsorcs currently, a skilled magwarden is borderline unkillable.

Doesn't matter when you are avoiding the Cc. No crowd control, no pressure, simple as that.

Go ahead and make it dodgeable, but you better rework the class alongside cause that would effectively broke them since they would be left with nothing but a single dot as reliable form of dmge.

U can just move in circles and it never hits u once LOL. No need to waste stamina blocking.

Havnt been hit by one deep fissure or subterranean assault i just stay moving in circles.

Warden dps isnt what hurts me. Its pretty hard to kill a warden when they have good heals on.

If you miss with the fissure you really are bad at aiming. Like seriously. Want to know how often I miss? That's a trick question, I don't. Fissure with a timed cliff racer and a force pulse, all 3 land at once and they're stunned to boot. Cliff racer force pulse, those both land at the same time they're likely dead and a good chunk of that couldn't be dodged.

Edit: I play a freakin magsorc, I know what broken look like. Magsorcs need touched up, cliff racer needs to be dodgeable, then we've got it. It's still a good skill even if it is dodgeable, as previously mentioned you can time it to land at the same time as other abilities that slight delay is freakin' glorious for burst damage.

Dude, for the most part it's not up to you to land the fissures but the opponent to dodge them. Even in the case they can't they just got to block it, please refer to my guide.

Yeah, I've been using Frost Staff since TG (Mr. Freeze Magblade build) so I'm kinda partial to the weapon.

And I think the Frost Clench root works great on Magden too: been having good results in duels and bgs

To each his own, I guess :)

A magwarden using fire staff can get off five hits in one combo. because of the undodgable slow bird, the hard to see and VERY long range and slow time for the beetles. Light attack beetles, light attack bird, light attack crushing shock...thats over 10k, maybe more like 13-14k on my light armor magplar. Its not hard to set up that burst, you get stunned, non of that is cast time burst, just delayed. Being that a LA magplar who uses shields are kinda...gimped for defense. (Templar arent great with shields.) Thats a *** ton of danage most of it hitting at once. My dark flare, javelin, unstable core wont break their shields/ HoTs...im doomed by them. Cannot take a properly built one on in a duel, when most other mag builds i can. (Save mag DKs with 1 hand and shield equipped.)

Not too big a deal. But sucks to come against em in cyro

I've actually seen this Magden PvP destroy Mag Sorc 1v1 over and over in Rawl. It was amusing to watch because the Magden was about 530CP and Mag Sorc was 630CP. Yes I have no idea what the gear situation was for either one of them but the way Mag Sorc kept challenging the Magden looked as if he couldn't believe he was losing.

Lmfao I always get stuck on the team that as the level 18 and the level 36

    1/13 KD
    2/8
    9/10
    8/9

Team purple didn't have a single player with a KD ratio above 1!!! LMFAO!!!

    Team Red had ONE player
    With a K/D above 1!
Two of their team mates got only 1 kill
Infact team Red top player out performed you

Can't believe so many scrubs allowed themselves to die to skoria (your ONLY way to kill)

Break cc and then roll dodge through the warden, just like you do with a templar spamming sweeps. Fissure is no more a problem than incap strike.

Not being able to dodge a spammable, high damage ability is another matter altogether...

Oddly enough, silence works on warden stamina abilities like sub assault and cutting dive.

Dodge is too effective in the game at the minute, but undodgeable damage is likewise too effective.
