"Bonus Vitality Decrease"

I just saw a message I've never seen before. I've been trying to get enough people together to go into the Halls of Fabrication in Vvardenfell. Anyway, I couldn't find enough people so I just went in to see how far I could go on my own. I barely made a dent on the mob and was killed pretty quickly. Then, out of the blue, I get this message across the top of my screen: BONUS VITALITY DECREASE." Has anyone else seen this message or one like it and what does it mean to my character? Is it a permanent decrease in my character's strength and vitality or does it only apply to this quest?

✭✭✭✭✭First, Halls is meant for 12 people. Don't try to solo it.
Second, you're in the vet version of Halls. Definitely don't try to solo it.
Finally, vet trials are scored, and deaths count against your final score. Whenever you die, you'll get a message that your vitality (score) bonus has decreased, and once your group has suffered 36 deaths, the message will go away (since at that point your score bonus from remaining vitality is zero and can't go down any further).Nightfighters ― PC/NA and PC/EU

I just wanted to get a taste of what I would be up against if and when I did find enough people. Unfortunately ... I still haven't found enough people so I guess that quest is out of reach.

I accidentally ran BC2 the other night. I second the advice of, you need a guild.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭You can run the normal version of Halls with a pick-up group, and I see those frequently being formed in the zone chat of major hubs (Craglorn, Reaper's March, etc.).
That having been said, it's advisable that you're comfortable with this game's 4-person group content before you jump into the 12-person trials, even on normal. Being able to comfortably clear vet dungeons will make you far better prepared for the normal versions of the DLC trials.
You will definitely need a strong dedicated endgame trials guild (and a lot of experience with trials in general) before tackling the vet version.Edited by code65536 on July 19, 2017 7:41PMNightfighters ― PC/NA and PC/EU

✭✭✭✭✭Ha! I walked into normal HoF the first day. I almost made it past the first trash pull, but I missed a bar swap and the Kagouti got me.
If you keep an eye on zone chat, either in Vvardenfell, Craglorn or the pledge zones, you'll see people looking for bodies to run normal trials. And if they say "training run" they will take their time to explain the fights and such.
Just make sure you have voice comms, because if the raid leader has to type out explanations for some of those fights, you'll be there all day.The Moot Councillor0 -
shreek1✭✭Even Pugs have a difficult time in normal HoF. There are significant mechanics there that everyone has to understand and proper positioning and situational awareness is pretty crucial. People can run around like idiots in nAA and nSO. Not so in nHoF.1
