With the state of pvp being a rolling destro ball farm (Vivec from my experience) - I propose that negate be modified to be the counter to the moving destro with a moving negate...
Just an idea to throw around ...

Then it'll be negate spam as negate counters negate.

theres always a 'train' type skill first it was bats + elemental ring, then bats + steel tornado, then proxy dot then destro ult etc

Key way to avoid them is to not zerg the keeps

In large scale: space out. One destro ult won't kill you, so if you don't sit in the zerg clump where the ball group can hit you with multiple, you're fine.

In small scale: resto ult. Easy.

The balls only exist to farm AP. They only have people to farm cos people keep going there to get farmed by them.

1. Don't go there.
2. If you are there, learn their movements. They are predictable.
3. Spread out and surround.
4. Remember they move as one. Attacking one of them won't make them go for you, they always follow the leader.
5. They always push into the highest concentration of enemies. Don't be there.
5. Don't follow them into enclosed spaces. Listen to Akkbar.
6. If you do get caught, sprint/streak/rolldodge THROUGH them, don't try to run away.
7. If you die, respawn somewhere else and do something useful.

If destro ult gets nerfed, they will only switch back to timed ulri burst with dawnbreakwrs/shooting star/negates etc. Along with proxy.
They will still kill you (unless you learn the above) because they are simply better.

It's true, they follow the leader even if it will cost them their lives. Our group had divided into about 4 surrounding the Zerg, had they divided they could have easily eliminated each individual party but they remained in the Zerg until proxy + 2 leaps killed them all

zenimax, please make destruction staff ultimate stay in-place just like the dragonight standard does.
it should not be allowed to follow the caster in PvP.

sorcerers spam bolt escape and chase people with it active nightblades spam ambush with it active, dragonights spam 2 hand charge with it active, templars spam 2 hand charge with it active.

makes it inescapeable.

in addition that red circle does not load most of the time and you dont even know it is being cast.

Make destro ult throw projectiles every second to people within the ulti range. Like a mini alduin rain from skyrim, throwing down fire/ice/shock balls This would make the damage slightly higher as it ignores the AoE cap, but you can dodge and reflect it as well as out ranging it.

Atm its one of those soul assault style uncounterables.
