I take issue with the Agressive aspect of 1H/S

    Apparently "tanks" should just sit back and be damage sponges according to George. If that's the case, they should be unkillable damage sponges since they can never get close to anyone.

    Tanks can access their Class gap closers. I want the gap closer from SnB removed. How do you still ignore some1 that gap closes on you then?
    DK tanks, even though they don't have a gap closer, if ignored they will mess you up with: chain, fossilize, talons, (obsidian shard). Leap.

    So S&B should lose it's gap closer because DK's have group utility through CC abilities? DK's would still just use empowering chains so your fix does nothing.

    SnB should lose the gap closer because it is an over performing weapon skill line in pv, which can deal good damage, constant pressure, while not having to worry about defence problems because: shield
    I didn't brought the argument that tanks will lose gap closers. I want to nerf the weapon, not the tanks.


    The weapon line already does subpar damage. What are you comparing it to in order to say it does good damage?

    Is that the point? That you can bring out less dps with SnB that other stamina weapons?

    My point with this topic is that SnB can pressure an enemy in PvP with GOOD damage while at the same time the SnB user doesn't have to worry so much about having problems in defence.

    Take a stam char with DW in their setup and they will lose against a stam char with SnB. Front weapon, back weapon it doesn't matter.

    SnB in the mix makes the winner every time, over DW.

    Chains in my experience is quite unreliable in PVP. A pebble on the ground prevents the ability from working.

    Obviously you just don't get that if a weapon:
    Can put pressure on the enemy with it's high enough tool tip dmg
    Gapclose/stun the enemy, with a single skill that can fill in two purposes
    Debuff the enemy
    Protect you from the enemy

    it is over performing in PvP.

    I don't see the problem here. The invasion gap closer doesn't debuff.

    A second skill, reverberating bash does.

    Sounds like you tried to streak away from a HA Stam user that kept the blade to your throat with invasion and smacked you with bash so you couldn't heal effectively.

    Why would I have a problem only with a HA stam user if the same scenario of me being rekt can apply to ANY GAP CLOSER?

    You are saying that since I got rekt by a HA SnB stam user that was gap closing on me I want to nerf SnB.
    And I am replying that if that was the scenario I would want all gap closers nerfed.
    This however is not the case.

    You are not taking into consideration that the damage, and damage tool tips, are based on gearing and CP. it makes a huge difference and that difference is and should be permitted.

    Further, there is no reason to argue S&B should not have a gap closer when every class has one.

    SnB is a way easier weapon to use.

    I think you are playing DW incorrectly.

    SnB would be more in line if it got it's damage tooltips reduced by 30-40%
    and had it's gap closer removed.
    That is my opinion.

    Oh yes...I have NEVER killed a tank with a DW DPS in PvP....oh wait...thats a lie, I killed several days ago when I was last in PvP with my stam DK DW. This is simply NOT TRUE, show my a S&B user who can out-DPS an equivalent DW setup, I dare you. Lets take the knight-errant set vs the sword dancer set as an example. Sword Dancer ads 400+weapon damage to your DW abilities...while Knight Errant ads a whopping 200 damage to your S&B abilities.

    Have you EVER played a tank in PvP? Do you know how difficult it is to kill anyone? I am GLAD they have some small chance of killing people through sets like knight-errant and dreugh-king or Duroks Bane. As a tank you give up A LOT of damage...as a tank, it doesnt matter what your resistances are or how much health you have...DPS are still able to kill you in PvP, the best you are able to do most times is fight to a stalemate. Any S&B builds killing you are likely not true tanks...they are just using the shield for longer survival...but because they are using a shield they sacrifice a lot of damage and their DPS is significantly lower. Compromises.

    This comment right here truly demonstrates how ignorant you are. Bleeds and DoTs are literally the counter to block builds, and dual wield (particularly with axes) gives you the most DoT pressure on a stam build.

    DW requests since before DB. I was glad to see DW improved, after a few Topics I opened and the countless posts of mine in any relative topic in these forums. Same thing with Heavy armor. It was in a bad state and it got improved because some people went against all the ridicule, and asked for HA to be improved.

    I will keep posting my topics. Whether you find them ridiculous or not is of little importance. You are an ESO player just like I am. I will keep making suggestions to make the game a bit better.
    You can keep rejecting any changes to status quo, since you appear to believe that ESO is in a great state and there are no problems in PvP.

    Keep replying to my topics if you will. You are not my audience, and the majority of the forum is not a reflection of the gamers views about ESO.
    The devs read your posts and mine as well. They can decided whether there is merit in here and whether the game can be improved.

    I don't see the point if either of those DW threads. They lacked any life, didn't even get past the first page. That would suggest they didn't help shape the game.

    They certainly do not add logic to the point you have attempted to make here. The only point we can discern from your posts in this topic is you find players with S&B equipped a serious challenge to your game play. That's not a reason to change and it's clear from the feedback in this thread few agree with you.

    DW requests since before DB. I was glad to see DW improved, after a few Topics I opened and the countless posts of mine in any relative topic in these forums. Same thing with Heavy armor. It was in a bad state and it got improved because some people went against all the ridicule, and asked for HA to be improved.

    I will keep posting my topics. Whether you find them ridiculous or not is of little importance. You are an ESO player just like I am. I will keep making suggestions to make the game a bit better.
    You can keep rejecting any changes to status quo, since you appear to believe that ESO is in a great state and there are no problems in PvP.

    Keep replying to my topics if you will. You are not my audience, and the majority of the forum is not a reflection of the gamers views about ESO.
    The devs read your posts and mine as well. They can decided whether there is merit in here and whether the game can be improved.

    Agreed. As a counterpoint, if damage of S&B gets nerfed 40%, can mitigation from the passives go up 40%.... my mDK would love it :)

    If tanks didn't have a gap closer in PvP, no one would engage with tanks at all.
    Carrying a shield would just be a big, "I'm too much effort to bother with." sign and people would just avoid them.

    Tanks do have class gap closers. DKs cannot be avoided.
    S&B is overperforming as a skill line.

    It's been a while since the last troll like this, you are insanely good tho everyone is trying to argue with you :D

    Edit: Also, just because someone is using a S&B, doesnt mean its a tank. I use a S&B on my LA magDK. Im not a tank.

    If you are a tank, a heavy armored warrior carrying a shield you should not be able to rush.

    Did you see how much stamina it takes to do that? You gotta pop those little blue pills (or green pots) and keep up the tantric sustain to be able to pop off and Shield Charge all the time. Besides, most tanks use a mechanism to pull the mob to them (chains) or a class skill to get up close and those use magicka.
    Magic. Magic is everywhere in this game. Who is to say that magic can't make tanks run fast

    Because in a world where magical firestorms, demon summoning and teleportation are normal, it's strange that some heavy armor wearing dude can actually physically use his legs to charge at an enemy.

    I take issue with your issue.

    Having studied and practice's mediaeval combat for a lot of years, I can tell you that the common mmo view that shields = tank, DW = damage, 2-Handed = some variation of damage is just BS.

    The simple fact that you have a good defence allows you to Focus more on attack.
    Give someone a 2-hander, they have to defend just as much as they attack, often more. Give them full-plate, they can virtually ignore the vast majority if types of attacks, and focus a lot more on using that weapon in offence instead.

    Give someone a sword(or 2 swords) they still have to defend themselves half the time,
    Give them sword and shield, and they can defend without giving it too much attention, letting them focus much more on offence, which obviously makes it more effective.

    Sword and shields was simply a better combination than 2 weapons.
    2-handers really came into their own when full plate appeared ( as shields were no longer necessary for defence)
