I hope this was on purpose because I'm so excited that it's finally fixed that I can hardly contain it (yes it doesn't take much to make me happy these days), being a vampire does not change your face and body markings once you rezone!!!! My tats can now proudly be shown off in all of their greyed, faded glory.

    It is actually a bug regardless of being vamp or not. Having too many custom options on at once can cause it to drop one or some of them when zoning. Would be great if they have finally fixed that.

    OP did you change anything about your looks recently? That may have been the fix more than something that they did.

    Only changed my costume, but it was before patch and none of my tats stayed after doing it until I logged in after the patch

    If your cosmetic item count exceeds some threshold. (Used to be about six cosmetic items, I'm not sure now.) Then some of your cosmetics will be purged on area transition. Personalities appear to weight this more heavily than other items, but I'm not 100% positive that's actually the case. This appeared to be fixed during Morrowind's closed beta, and I've never noticed it on live since then. I suspect it's tied to server load, but I don't know.
