Dear friends,
I come to you a simple RP-PVPER, throughout my time on ESO (since beta) I have always wanted to be able to truly play the way the way I want to. Unfortunately the inner Min/Maxer refuses to play some races simply because they gimp me in PVP. I could make alts to RP with, but that simply breaks my immersion and back story I could build up for that character. I have found a solution! One that will add greater depth to everyone's ESO experience, but also promotes unique character building options and making you able to mold your character to your specific play style
WITH OUT being forced to play a specific race!
The Plan:
In eso, you get a small cut scene in the beginning of your journey where Manimarco sacrifices you to his evil necromancer spooky plot. But honestly, What was your character doing before he was kidnapped? This is where we could improve racial passives. Choosing your characters background. The races could keep their unique passives for example; Argonians Potion passive and swimming speed. But the other 3 passives could be chosen from a pre-existing group.
Frequent objections and answers:
Objection: "But if you can choose your passives wouldn't you just pick the most OP ones?"
Answer: No, I am suggesting leaving the passives alone in their groups for the most part. I do not want you to chose all three passives individually. I want you to pick a GROUP of passives that go with what role you wish to play.
Objection: "Races should remain Unique. My high elf overlord should always be better then those disgusting Kajiit flee bags at magic."
Answer: I agree with races should remain unique. Im not suggesting removing the flavor of the races, High elf should keep elemental damage as its primary racial along with dunmer and its fire damage. I am suggesting detaching all the other passives (max magic, Stamina regen.... etc.) and placing them into a pool of groups to be chosen as your background.
Here is a photo
example of how you would pick your back ground:

What do you guys think? Would you like to be able to customize your character more while also being able to look how you want? Or do you think the system is perfect with no need for improvement?
