I've not noticed a way to upload your own avatar. Is there a process in place where we could upload say, a cropped screenshot of our character to use as our avatar? Obviously this would require someone to examine them to avoid issues but is there any way that this could happen? Failing that, could you please make some more Khajiit avatars (a snarling white lion would be awesome)(why yes, Kimba is a white lion, why do you ask?).

This would have many benefits:
1. No need to moderate, as it uses in-game images.
2. Easily moved into the forums.
3. Guarantees that the image is the correct size and resolution.

How would that be any different from moderating inappropriate images in posts? We have the freedom to post whatever images we like at the mercy of moderation. Why would avatars be any different? Users can be reported just like posts can be reported. It is the same thing from a moderation standpoint.
I can't have a Sheogorath avatar or a Cheese avatar because one isn't available. Would be great to be able to select our own for sure!

Yup. If I remember the main rule was it had to be relevant to TES/ESO. As my first choice is normally an image of Darth Bane.only Community Ambasadors have custom forum avatars, and even they have to be approved by the forum moderators
Whilst I agree with you, it becomes a weird thing where people are more likely to go for edgy avatars than they are to post an image. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...
If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.0
