I know there are more important matters, but I do remember the first time I dyed my armor, and thought, "hey, I should dye my weapons too, that would look cool." Upon realizing that there is no option to dye weapons, I then thought to myself, "what? You can't dye weapons? That sucks."3 -

Currently everything is red. You can have an epic suit of steel armor and a giant lollypop red paddle without having any option to fix it.

Necomis✭✭✭Yes. Add Weapon Dyes to the game.It wouldn't be a bad option. Maybe limit it to the hilts of weapons. Color of the wrap, hand guard if equipped and the pommel.
As for blades themselves if it can be done also. I would maybe try different shades of grey and black that are available. I'm a big fan of obsidian black on mercenary armor metal parts. Gives it a black chrome look.0 -

I bet its completely possible to add the colour style sheet for weapons and have it ready to be available by then. What a wise decision it would be to do so, because of all the bugs we are currently dealing with lol, specifically the Queing system currently (BG's and DF being neglected for so long, BG's being one of the high selling points for Morrowind) .... I'd be a bit more forgiving

While the devs may disagree on adding it, the overwhelming majority of players want it... and supposedly you're all about listening to player feedback... except on this topic which has been brought up on the forums for years and all the polls and discussions have ended the same, with players wanting this added. MakeNoiseMan✭✭✭Yes. Add Weapon Dyes to the game.Honestly, I'm surprised anyone can still maintain the argument that weapon dyeing could be immersion-breaking because of pink swords. Are red swords any better? Not to mention, a good number of motifs desaturate the metal so they're ALREADY pink (Redguard, Akaviri, Grim Harlequin, etc, I'm looking at you).
People already have the option to dye their armour any colour they want to. The option already exists to go full-on cotton-candy knight. Given the choice, which is more immersion-breaking: a pink blade, or a full suit of pink armour? The worse offender is already in-game. May as well finish the job and let Sir Bubblegum dye his greatsword, too.
Truthfully though, I seriously doubt many people would dye their weapons outlandish colours. Virtually everyone I have talked to—as well as most here on the forums—agrees that we want to dye our weapons natural colours. Steel blades. Wooden or neutral-coloured staves and bows. The awesome Lorkaj glow effect would make the Moondancer staff my favourite model in the game, but I simply can't get around its bright red material colouring. It makes it look like a toy.
In my opinion, this shouldn't even be a discussion. If there are coding issues, that's a different story. But there is no good in-game reason not to give people the option to dye their weapons. We can dye everything else—please please pleeeeaaase ZOS, let us dye our weapons too!

But the idea we need restrictions on what colours to use for the weapons to keep it "Realistic" is SO funny and ridiculous.... We are playing a fantasy game where we can dye are armour and be a cotton candy warrior if we so please, with a molten lava skin riding a dwarven mechanical lama... Like please keep your control issues to yourself and do whatever the hell you want to do with your own character customization lol... If they limit it to just a few colors then I'll vote no for weapon dyeing. I want acess to all colors that I can use on my armor.

Is there a way to add more options after its been created and votes have been cast or no?
