I'm pretty sure that TS will proc the offhand enchantment even if it is a shielding one (I know this because I've used torug's in vMA with a shielding enchantment on off-hand for some survivability), it's just that in that case it no longer becomes a 'spammable' as the ICD is now longer than a regular wep damage one.

Using DW, the player can weave an enchantment on each light attack, but the off-hand is generally useless, seldom proccing.
Twin Slashes, unlike other DW skills, procs the off-hand enchantment rather than the main-hand when used.
So, with that knowledge, place your Twin Slashes 'Augment' enchantment on your offhand, and now Twin slashes becomes an ability that deals two ticks of direct damage, procs an enchantment with a 20% chance of applying the elemental effect, Places a passive bleed, and it's Cheap as hell to boot! This is only while Light attack weaving, otherwise you'll hit twin slashes a second time prior to the enchantment being on cooldown.
Boom! Now you've got a customizable skill via enchantments!
Warning: on the chance that the light attack uses the off-hand to proc the enchantment, twin slashes will not proc an enchantment on that weave
Warning: If you LA weave too fast the enchantments may not be off-cooldown
The + is that this takes less resources for comparable damage, is new player friendly for weaving, procs elemental status effects more often, and is more instances of direct damage (Hellooooo Selene in Trials!). The negative is it is also impacted by the RNG of which hand LA's which can severely impact the total DPS.
Have fun Theorycrafting!
(Sidenote, I averaged 13K DPS without any buffs using just LA and TS (Not in Execute Range), using LA and Surprise Attack got me around 15.5K)

I'm theorycrafting a build using torugs and infused.
And this is the key:

Nice, I used that glyph on my first vMA run while learning the mechanics.

Yup. The idea is to combine it with bone shield to have at least 3 shields on combat on a stam build. Currently each glyph with Torug's and infused gives a 2.5k shield on Cyro

Just remember that glyphs of the same type share an ICD, so you'll not be able to stack shields via multiple Hardening Glyphs
Edit: Well, it'll be possible for 1 second (if using Torug's/Infused)
