Yeah, man, sounds kind of fishy. Wonder if you were hacked instead. Putting aside the naming thing, it is doesn't seem right that ZOS can just change your name like that without your consent. Granted, I did skim through their ToS and don't recall they stated they have reserved the rights to change our account name without our consent. If that's the case or any word or phrase are against their ToS or CoC, they could, at the least, temporarily suspend your account and then sending you a message advising you to rename to an acceptable one which is not against their ToS/CoC and your account would be unlocked; instead of outright just changing the name for you. Keep trying to work with them to find out why.. maybe it could be another bug or admin error. Anyways.. good luck on it, though.

ZOS has to literally draw a line somewhere. People will just make more and more worse names and complain that it's no different than your original name. I have no problem with it, what I am saying is that it is demeaning to the person using the name in my opinion. Or just snowflakes that have no sense of humor and can't take a joke. Video games are entertainment - not something that's suppose to be taken seriously. Life is serious enough - video games are an escape for some to just have fun no matter how ridiculous some of you find it.
Not going to lie - I have what I guess you could call "traditional" names for my RPG characters except for the 1 - and it's a funny name that people whisper me saying it made them laugh when they saw it. It's a ridiculous name on a ridiculous looking character because I made that one for fun and laughs. Yeah it's stupid and childish - but it's just for fun.
