Is it ok for a mag sorc to use pets in a trial. Also builds/equipment/cp

I remember it being an issue or something. Is necropotence viable for trials? Is the preferred monster set still illambris? Is it worth golding these out? And I'm pretty sure I have a good cp distribution but I feel like some second opinions are good from more experienced players.

    Ilambris is good

Necropotence is good but pets create problems in some trials (for instance , last boss of aa)

I prefer petless build for that reason but that is just me

Are there any problems in other trials? I just keep getting very conflicting responses from people and decided to come here to ask. If not necropotence which set/s would you suggest? I've been told netch's touch is bad and good so I'm waiting to test it out when I get my last piece of it.

Some very good trial team can keep the pets in vet aa final boss and only remove it in hard mode, but I think most team will struggle with the pet as it creates extra damage when moving. This was tested and confirmed the pets moving, makes lighting chain and therefore troubles the team (in vaa).

I heard HoF is OK with pets.

I dont run with pets so I forgot but other trials also have some non pet friendly phases, I think 1 or 2 are OK with pets while others have some issues. Sorry I dont remember which ones.

If you wouldn't use netch's or necropotence which set do you think is best?

With the exception of the last boss on AA, I run the typical Necropotence pet build. Honestly, I get higher numbers with that build than the Netch's Touch non-pet build. But, ymmv.

Not sure yet, Im still looking for a build that is viable but to do that I need the lag to go away

Julianos is still good but not BiS

I heard TBS could be back, gotta craft one set and try it

The pet-build is always okay if you can control your scamp. And never okay if you can't.

Scamps attacks make the target CC-immune, which can easily cause the whole bunch of deaths, if not the wipe. Zhaj'hassa: panters spawn => Scamp attacks => panters can't be chained and rooted => corpses. Twins: adds spawn => scamp attack => adds can't be chained => corpses.

Just yesterday I went to nHoF with my guildies. One 600CP pet-sorc was very full of himself, boasted about his DPS and how he is so cool... He killed 3 people on last boss. And would kill many more, if I didn't tell him to s**t the *** up, turn off his ego and put the pet away. For the whole duration of a trial his scamp was not where he should be.

If you use pets, you control them. Always. Otherwise - you're at best inconvenience. At worst - cause of the wipe.
English isn't my native, apologies for any mistakes.

Why do they make them cc immune? Is that a bug or just something not listed on the skill?

Because after a mob (or player) is stunned he gets CC immunity..!

Depends on the boss fight. They run the gamut from boss fights where pets are great and encouraged (final boss vMoL) to ones where people should just put their pets away (final bosses of vAA and vHoF), and a number of boss fights that fit somewhere in between (where pets can work, if used and controlled properly).

Petsorcs should be ready and carry an alternative set with them (e.g., Julianos) for fights where you shouldn't use pets.

I've never actually noticed that haha. Idk if that part of the effect has ever even gone off for me. I guess I forgot about it because stuff always had stun immunity whenever it happened. Sadly I have no non pet rotation atm and I'm assuming julianos is a huge nerf in damage. What class is actually considered the optimal dps in a trial then?

Gold gear gives you ~1% DPS increase, so unless you have heaps of tempers or money don't bother with it only gold the weapons, those matter more. As for pets, as tank, I hate them with a passion.
