hahahahahahaha Really? Can't you just save your crowns?? LOOOOL
Bloody hell why is everyone acting like I am some raging idiot blaming ZOS for me spending my Crowns, literally all I asked for was an option for the 3 Month subscription crowns to to provided monthly rather than tri monthly.
Sevalaricgirl wrote: »Probably because of your reasoning. You can't bring yourself to save your crowns over the months in case something good comes out as a limited option. You want ZOS to change how they do business to suit your needs.
I am asking for an option, that's all. This way people could choose what they prefer.
I find it strange how, just because I bought 1 or 2 items for crowns that weren't on sale for a limited time I have 'no self control'.
So I should never buy anything that's not being sold for limited time only?

Not really, different options on how you receive them would be i.e. to get them through some code redemption on their website or like..... through your local mail (LOL).
I can't believe I'm actually going to provide a logical explanation, this really is not needed:
The entire 1 month vs 6 months debated is not a matter of how crowns are received. You PAY for 6 months up front, and they give you 6 months worth of service upfront. period. You cannot choose to use your 6 months separately as stand alone months of subscription throughout the year. That isn't the deal. Because of this, you get the crowns upfront also (obviously). Imagine for example that the service changes halfway through your sub. And + members now get 1000 crowns a month. Should you be getting only 1000 crowns a month only for the last 3 months on your sub? No, obviously, and you'd be raging if they did. But what about the other way around, if they increase it to 2000? All of a sudden you'll be claiming you're missing 500 crowns on your 'monthly' crowns when you aren't, because you did not pay for a monthly service, you paid for a tri-monthly service or 6 months etc... ZOS gains absolutely nothing in enabling options to receive crowns that are already paid for at different rates. They LOSE resources in doing so, in forms of customer service that needs to be provided to all those that change their minds , that want the rest now, or the rest later, or that go inactive or that etc.... YOU as players GAIN nothing and LOSE nothing either way. You have the exact same amount of crowns at the moment of purchase for the period you paid for. Nothing more nothing less. You have absolute total power in what you do with the crowns within the limits of the game as is exactly advertised in every possible way. If you wish to budget your crowns to a maximum of exactly 5 crowns a week, that is entirely in your power to do so. The current formula provides you with the most liberty in your management of the crowns that come with the service you bought.
TO CLARIFY:
-> You are not purchasing several recurring one month subscription at a discount price.
-> You are purchasing a recurring MULTI-month service at a higher price.
@Judas Helviaryn
I am gonna listen to people's advice and start saving my crowns more.
But the opinion that just because I bought something a month earlier that I likes, means I have, as so many people have put it, 'no self control' baffles me. I'm sure I'm not the only person who has spent their crowns on something then had a limited time sale come up.
You're telling me that you and none of your friends have ever bought something with crowns then had a limited sale pop up a few weeks later?

you are MISSING the point entirely. if you had the option to take your entire salary for one year rather than recieving 12 payments a year then yes that would be beneficial to a certain extent do to the time value of money. However, there are some consumers who want an option every month to recieve payments of crowns to have better control of how we spend our own crowns. there is nothing weird or unusally about that. We as consumers and supporters of ZOS's content should have an option to receive our crowns monthly if we chose to. In addition, we as LOYAL consumers have locked our future support of the developers and this game by purchasing several months in advance. Why it irks you that some consumers wish to do this is beyond me. Many businesses reward their loyal customers by offering them different options if they pay in advance. And more importantly, its none of your concern how I spend or recieve my crowns. Im not paying you a dime so just take a chill pill.

Ah... then I'm not normal. (this is not a shock to anyone, I'm sure)
OTOH I have compensations.
I tend to vacillate about Crown store stuff, so I usually buy it minimally. However I have no problem at all throwing tons of extra crowns at my sweetie's account 'cause I want him to have every little thing his heart desires.

It doesn't matter if consumers want weird things. Companies aren't going to make their offerings overly complex for quirky people. I get it. Some people want to be saved from themselves by holding back temptation. But more options means more changes for problems. And it really is not needed in this case. Crowns are tied to the PURCHASE. If you buy 90 days, you buy 90 days. You do not re-sub each month. There is no event each month to trigger crowns being sent out. I don't see a company wanting to add the complexity you want in order to distribute crowns in installments when you paid up front.
Also, I would gladly take my salary at the beginning of the year. That means I can, at the very least, get a ton of interest income on my salary. The smart financial move is almost always to get money now. It is better to pay on tax day than to get a return. The only different is that if you get a return, you gave the government an interest free loan for your overpayment into federal withhold.
If you receive your crowns monthly instead of when you buy them, you have less control, not "better control". If the item you want is on sale right away, you don't have the crowns yet and it is out of your control. If you receive all the crowns now, you can choose what to spend it on.
I find it strange how, just because I bought 1 or 2 items for crowns that weren't on sale for a limited time I have 'no self control'.
So I should never buy anything that's not being sold for limited time only?
