DK skill Stone Giant idea

Since every class has its thing and the dk's thing is tanking....

it would be nice if the designed tanking class has a unique ranged taunt and I'm thinking that Stone giant is the perfect candidate for this.

pretty much leave it as is except get rid of the double damage mechanic and in its place put a taunt for 15 seconds.

this would make it a quite useful skill for dk tanks and an alternative to inner fire which if you think about it, DK's as the tanking class by design, should have something superior to.

    DK already has a ranged soft taunt: Unrelenting Grip.

    Stonefist is just a skill that needs to be revamped. Neither Stone Giant nor Obsidian Shard have a place in competitive builds.

    Stone giant is awesome as it is, on my DK heavy attack build you 1 bang everything with heavy attack and stone giant

    Stone giant is an analogue to destructive clench / reach. In that regard it is not a very good skill and could use a change. It should not in any way be tank related.

    For what its worth, there are 5 classes in this game with built in, innate tanking tools. Your assumption that dks are exclusively THE tanking class is misguided and makes you suggestions for the skill a bit silly.

    Stone fist needs to be changed to improve magicka or stam dks in anything but the pve tanking role.

    If anything the skill should be changed to bolster LA magdks in some way for pvp.

    I agree. Stone Giant is a great skill, problem is that people sees it as a ranged attack, when the best use you can do of it is in close quarters.

    Nope.
    Stone giant is a solid skill as it is, very handy and usefull. The double dmg when it manages to stun is a nice tool to add atleast a little burst to the class.
    It would hurt the class alot, we hoped and cried so long for dk buffs, no need to take them away after we finally got em.

    One can add the spot feature, but the double dmg needs to stay

    Stamina DKs have only 2 Stamina costing class abilities.

    I'd like Stone Giant to be a stamina cost ability and the crap covered look removed.

    Obsidia Shard is redundant for a mDK that heals through whip, embers, dragon blood and Battle roar. Not to mention resto staff.

    Will someone give me a third stamina costing dragon knight skill or you gonna keep kicking the trolling can down the road?

    From a tank perspective, my opinion is keeping the choking talons costing magicka. It offers a great AoE Minor Maim and prefer it not competing with my survival resource stamina. Maybe they can turn the other morph into a stamina skill and have it do poison damage.
