Its advertising the event. You can try and create some alternative facts so you can get around that. But it is ADVERTISING. And Ive heard this "once per" nonsense before. We were told the advertising in game would be once but it has become something that constantly pops up even when theres nothing new in the store. Id prefer that this site avoids the crappy pop ups. Its cheap and obnoxious.

Totally! A one time pop-up that shows you info about an event that gives you free stuff is almost inconceivable. I mean come on, it took me like an entire 2 seconds to close it! That's an entire two seconds of my life that I'll never get back.

I thought advertising was using gimmicks to make you buy something. This was more of an announcement indicating they were going to do something. And I don't have to do anything any different than I do any other day to collect the rewards. I kinda like it.
The pop up is how I found out about the event honestly, and guess what once I clicked the do not show again option is has not popped up again. People need to honestly stop with the constant complaints over any little thing. It grows annoying after so long, if you want to complain then complain about some of the broken things within the game.
It's amazing how people whine about the simplest things, apparently they've never heard the saying, "Don't sweat the small stuff"... and like many others have noted, I would not have been aware of the event without the pop-up... too bad they wouldn't do the same thing when they had a Crown sale, instead of having to wait for word of mouth to announce it.
So sure, I'm all for the POP UPS when it comes to announcing events like this.

This, hence the sarcastic comment I made above. The "advertisement" is simply a quick announcement to tell people about a free event. It didn't break any game content or waste an hour, or even a minute, of anyone's time. There isn't any good reason to get all worked up over it.
OK. Now let's pretend that they didn't put on the announcement on the forums.
Would you have found out about the event on time? How?
If you hadn't found out, would you have been mad that you missed this opportunity?

I actually found out about the event hours before with twitter. Which I do use to stay up to date with things. Anything that lands on the forums is almost always old information or somehow inaccurate.
And no. I wouldnt be mad because the event isnt really an event. Anyone logging in this long after the release of Morrowind is likely a regular player that logs daily anyway. Which Im willing to bet are also the type that subs anyway. And since its a known fact that the forums is also not a large portion of the community, are usually the regulars that play the game not just daily but for many more hours than casuals that come and go. Those here, or at least the majority would not have missed it anyway because theyd be logging anyway. If the forums is your go to place for information. Youre either not that interested in news about the game or youre confused about how to actually seek out where to get that news.
