idk what Dragonknights have to do with it but yea free crown crates and free eso plus trial for those who dont already have it.

why we have to wait a whole week to get the crown crates is kinda odd to me but im not complaining about free stuff lol

Bit large for my liking, I also personally didn't like it was the entire length of the browser.
I would much rather a smaller rectangular pop-up in the bottom left like when we get messages/tags etc. although obviously bigger so people notice and can see what it is about.

Would rather that clicking the show more info opens a new tab, as I like to keep my forums open. That could be personal preference though.

No, we have more fixes for the Grouping Tool in the next incremental patch (next week) for all platforms.

Some peoples kids! Put it in the correct place, this is the kind of nonsense that gets problems sent to the back of the line.

I use my phone for the forums and the pop up was just the right size, displayed at the bottom of the screen and not overly intrusive. Thanks for the event as well.

Khajiit did not like the pop up. Felt a little cheesy to be honest.

This one likes the event even less. Free crates fair enough. This one she will use because she knows she will not pay for any more. Khajiit is as strong willed as a nix ox.

However for others it might be drawing them into irresistible temptation and spending too much. That has always been the main concern of this one as regards the crates. The other main concern being you do not know what you pay for.

Well if Khajiit she is not paying then ok - nothing it is lost in the opening.

This one should also say she opened the crate that came with MW. This one found it to be unpleasant and received nothing but the junk yes.

So this one she would say open your free crates if you feel you wish to - but do not let that draw you into buying more than you would otherwise have done. If you feel you are the sort of person who may give in then leave your free crates alone.

The other part of the event - the free ESO Plus is much much better. With this you know what you pay for and this one she considers it to be worth it.

This one has to agree with Santie. This one thinks this will be just another cash-grab on both crates and ESO+.

I sincerely honestly thought it was a scam, that my Ipad 4 tablet got hacked. Especially more concerned when Update 11 roles around in September, whcih makes my Ipad4 obsolete.

So I reloaded the page 4 more times, was about to write to ESO costumer support. Then finally decided to click "learn more" button. That was when I realized it was real and not a scam.... I like this new change.

I am a non ESO+ member, who owns all DLC and I love the idea of this event. The two things I care about and why i am excited is that I can refill my crafting bag and get that 350 decoration achievement without actually owning a notable house. (As snugpod is my primary residence even though I own bigger houses, I can also finally decorate it to 200, which will be fun to figure out.)

I would not care for crown crates even if I had ESO+..

As I said on a FB post..Different teams handle the cosmetic stuff than the quests. Quests are different groups from the dungeon tool. Yes there is probably some overlapping but there are groups/teams that work on different parts.

Me neither, but you can bet that even if ZOS delivered real crates containing all manner of goodies to our real life homes there'd be plenty on the forum complaining about it

I will try to log in sometime during the event to free up a bunch of my inventory. A nice bonus for me.

Crown crates still feel really scammy.

The popup... I guess it's okay. I was confused at first, thought the forum had started hosting popup ads or something to raise extra money.

Like Santie says.. hate crown crates, hate the gambling part. I have no problem with a cosmetic pay wall & will happily pay for items I like, but items locked behind a GAMBLING wall is crazy... forcing people to gamble to get what they want is a very low morally imho.

Anything promoting the crates I therefore find in bad taste...

BUT, ESO Plus I do think is decent value these days... getting some crowns, the DLC access, craft bag etc I personally find really worth it, and from a business perspective encouraging recurring revenue is good for ZoS & helps give them the forecastable revenue they need for the shareholders to sign off on future developments etc.

So for me its 50/50.

I'm totally fine with the forum popup, as long as its not something thats spammed continually, and can be switched off if people want.

I have no problem with the promotion, or the banner. However, that's on the assumption that the banner is only used sparingly. I wouldn't want it to become an ever-present marketing tool.

I agree. A one time pop up that is specifically for ESO isn't that bad. If it were for third party advert then it would be a different story.

I get ESO+ free for the duration of the event. Check.

So do I get to claim the crates if I don't keep ESO+ after the event ends?

Honest opinion? This is criticism not suppose to be a negative comment. First thing I thought of is this is like a drug dealer giving a "free sample". You take it and you are hooked. By that I mean it's gambling. A rose by any other name still smells as sweet. So getting a free sample and for someone who got caught up in a casino with the gambling bug and loosing all their money, it's a little immorale thing to do.

While I can see why you do it, like a demo, the sad thing is, because of the randomness to it, it's like a slot machine. For some people they get "hooked" because it's almost like a disease for some people and to count on these people for money I just find wrong.

I really hope you think of this as constructive so you can find a way to not make people loose lots of money when they normally wouldn't have done so. I know when I got my one free crate from Morrowind I wanted more so went to buy more until I saw the prices. OUCH. I did end up buying the 5000 crowns worth after CAREFULLY waying in my decision to see if it was worth it for me or not. I can really see where people will go over board.

Great thing is, that nothing is PAY TO WIN so is really Not Needed, but nice to have.

So for my constructive criticism I guess from my post, I don't know what really these crates are. So a better explanation is needed to FULLY EXPLAIN what the crates are for.

@brandonv516 from my understanding you ONLY get crates if you pay for a sub and are an active paid ESO+ during the event. The free ESO+ won't grant you crates.
