Agreed and one I have based ZOS around the head for in many threads. So you're are stating that you actual clear video evidence on how to exploit the game in order to gain more Aetherial Dust than intended?forgottengd wrote: »and like I'm said before (I don't know why moderator deleted my post, maybe he thinks he is very important for this game and for community - so - NO) - I SENT MANY TICKETS BEFORE (with screenshots/video proofs)! no answers. no actions. As I said previously if people have actual evidence post it in a PM to Gina/Jessica
ZOS did nothing.
And I'm done with tickets and helping ZOS. We trying to help this game to be better and even pay money for it - no response.
You are all so clever here. talking about things you even don't know (atleast - don't understand).
I'm done for helping know.
You can delete my post like you did before. Do it, it will solve your problem
If you do then I am pretty sure ZOS would want to do something with that. If you really do have that then PM it to the devs and they will take action.
However if you don't have actual information on how to exploit the game and are just speculating on data you've seen via market sales etc. then they may not be able to do much with that.
he is talking about the bots- and goldsellerreports. as prive did, as i did. its an issue. a serious one.
Botting and gold selling isn't an easy counter though. I would like ZOS to streamline their tools however, we should be able to literally push button, report bot. That fast, then that mail go right to their team that deals with it, no middleman.
If someone abuses it they get their own account suspended, as in every other MMO that has a speed system.

So if this is some sort of exploit, and you bought some of the mats can ZOS "punish" you?
I am asking because I am now seeing in zone chat stuff like:
Dreugh Wax for 2.3K in lots of 15 to 50
Aetherial Dust for 23k - 29K in lots of 15 to 100
The problem is, even when ZOS do something and tell everyone what the actual cause/issue is (like seems to have happened here) people refuse to believe them and make up their own crazy theories any way. They will follow up on things if they're reported in private and enough information is given
Even when evidence is presented to them, most recently the AP exploit which was spelled out to them, was late fixed and the exploiters kept the motifs and such they bought with a temp suspension.
Basically doing Z0$ work for them, while paying them and it is made to feel a privilege when they investigate something.
Numbers are getting lower, closing campaigns, another duping scam would hurt ESO too far, ofc they going to deny this.
I know full well how the AP thing went down as I was the one throwing it in their face and giving them the information, I also gave them feedback afterwards where they dropped the ball.
This thread shows they're doing better because we had a reply and investigation within 24 hours of the thread going live.
As I said previously if people have actual evidence post it in a PM to Gina/Jessica and if you're worried it won't be seen send them a polite tweet or PM a community ambassador and we will poke them.
You are already playing on one. From the previous dupe exploit/Wrothgar fishing roe exploit/AP exploit (Where 3 days suspension to log back in to see all the motif pages in guild stores selling/Nothing was confiscated but the AP left in the players bank that they didnt spend).
The list goes on. ESO is being shamed by exploiters and Z0$ are clearly incompetent to deal with it, or even address the issue by not posting in the Cheating and Exploiting thread in ~9months.
Yes, them doing something in 24 hours and having three dev posts in a thread on a single issue is better than taking a week and being told it's not an issue with incorrect data being posted. Is it perfect? No, but this was bloody good on their part considering past issues. The problem is, even when ZOS do something and tell everyone what the actual cause/issue is (like seems to have happened here) people refuse to believe them and make up their own crazy theories any way. They will follow up on things if they're reported in private and enough information is given

If you gauge them doing better by actually responding within 24 hours, never mind any actions taken then i guess my standards must be too high.
Z0$ employees tagged over ~9 months yet to reply in the Cheating and Exploiting thread, a perfect representation of how they are neglecting these issues until enough paying consumers bring it to there attention with definitive proof, thus doing the hard part of their job which is replicating the problem.
Additionally i would like to add this is mostly on Z0$ for rushing out untested content that is obviously wide open to exploitation. Every achievement/Dungeon/Title/Leader board has been exploited, multiple times on some. ESO stopped being competitive when CE was first shown to the sheep and exploiters got suspensions (Should of been perma ban).
It's possible that all those bots farming in auridon/bankgorai (can only speak for EU) have something to do with it. Since they farm non-stop in circles non-stop.

It is my feeling, after months of doing my routine daily farming, that you must run bots, and run them all the time, in order to find Aetherial Dust in any quantity. I still have not seen one.
It is not only a possibly, it is likely that the bots have something to do with the Dust situation. They are the ones that are supplying the bulk of Dust on the market.
Now, I am not saying that the analysis that ZOS did was wrong. It was likely spot on. However, I think that if they went through the list of people who have collected Dust, and then calculated the total number of hours in-game over that period of time, sorted in descending order, the top of that list would match what has been reported for botting in places like Shadowfen, Bangkorai, etc.

If it is indeed found to be an exploit, can we please get perma bans for the offenders? This 3 day vacation and keeping ill gotten gains is getting old.Anne_Firehawk wrote: »They just gonna get a 3-day ban sadly and keep their exploited *** same as the *** who exploited AP
And the people who exploited the banked surveys, and on and on. History suggests that it's well worthwhile to jump on exploits like this, since Zeni will respond with the lightest possible slap on the wrist (a 3 day ban with a giggle and an "oh you") and you can come back after a relaxing weekend and enjoy your I'll-gotten millions.
Then ZOS supports exploiters.
Cos you, RIGHT NOW, can go to the stores (plenty of them), buy OBVIOUSLY duped items for ABSURDLY low prices, and not being afraid to get punishment for this.
And after all screams would be shuttled down, all "I quit" threads are closed, start reselling early bought stuff for any price you want, making millions of gold on the empty space. Or creating consumables from duped mats and selling that consumables.
ZOS_JessicaFolsom wrote: »Hi everyone,
In digging into this with our BI team, we found a few things but none of them point to an exploit. We did find some gold sellers involved, and have since permanently banned the accounts and are investigating other accounts for potential involvement.
Beyond that, we looked at how many Aetherial Dust players have obtained daily over the course of the past two months on each server and how they obtained it. There is a possible (statistical) maximum that players can obtain via normal methods and no one has exceeded that. Now, something we are seeing is a few people buying low, selling high, and essentially cornering the market. This is resulting in what looks like someone having far more of a rare item than they should, but when we dug into how they got the items, we’re not seeing anything abnormal that would suggest item duping or an exploit.
(Small edit to clarify the limit comment.)
The quantities do seem unbelievably high.
If ZOS is standing by their story that there was no exploit or duplication, then the only way it could make sense would be if people were doing a price manipulation scheme. For example, Alice posts 200 dust for sale at a low price. Her accomplice, Bob, buys them up the instant they're posted. He gives them back to her to relist. If they do this a few times, and it could cause movement of the MM price and also make it seem like they sold 1000 dust when they really just "sold" the same 200 dust five times.
Why would they sell these items at a loss if this was a legit reseller buying low and selling high? It seems like Zos is claiming the accounts bought out the cheap items and hoarded it until today. Okay... so then why did those accounts sell lower? Take a logical look at that data Zos. I believe you when you say you couldn't find anything but how does it make sense? For them to buy out all the items and then resell them for less in bulk?
My theory is that someone involved had enough and snitched (or someone random found out how the exploit is made, and YES it´s an exploit wether you like it or not, you don´t get those amount of mats within short amount of time) and those exploiting it needed to "get rid of the evidense". TTM gets exposed lmao

The problem with your theory is that ZOS investigated the number of Aetherial Dust gained per day and the total amount in the game, and everything came back normal. The facts are the facts.
If it was an exploit, it was one that happened over a long period of time. If someone duped 200 dust in a day it would have been painfully apparently.

Lol, ok tell us which Aetherial Dusts have been duped?
Everything is logged anyway, it takes a little more time than "instantly" to be able to tell who abused what.

sry, but buying up stacks of 25, 50 or 100 stacks. i am facepalming over the fact, that buyers, known powersellers, really think, they could make anybody believe, they didnt knew whats going on and that its suspicious....

That depends entirely on how you analyze the data, lets say for example that you just ran a query to look at the drop rate percentage of the dust collected against harvested nodes you would expect (if nothing untoward is happening) that the returned information would be within expectations if no duplicating is happening.
Now if a query is made that targets between (for the sake of arguement) seven day periods over the last thirteen weeks you would still expect the returned data to be within expectations as regards drop rates (again if no duplicating is happening) but if just one of those seven day periods shows a huge increase in the amount of nodes harvested then that should set alarm bells ringing despite the fact that the percentage drop rate stayed within the boundaries.

its obvious they were goldsellers/botters at least, its always obious when someone drops huge amounts of really rare items. wether its a group of scrapssellers, wether its someone who is able to drop each day 10 - 20 stacks of unrefined material. i am not thinking about a dupe. in the past people got banned for providing goldsellers with gold and for direct trading with goldsellers. everyone of the powersellers of belkarth is aware of what is going on.
