How to fight Magicka Nightblades?

I am magicka sorcerer CP500. I am mostly fine in dueling any class, but when it comes to MagNbs I am always struggling. Any time I see MagNb dueling MagSorc, the NB takes the lead.
The single target damage is too high and they somehow can put constant pressure on you.
Any suggestions on how to cope with them?

MagNB is like a 'counter' to mag sorc so to speak. Both are about burst. I don't duel anymore, and never dueled a worthwhile MagNB on my sorc so can't help much but you're not the first mag sorc to struggle vs MagNB.

Use Immovability pots and night blades will die easy.... pretty much use those pots in PVP OR DIE Period .....................................................................................

I thought i was bad at pvp ... for the longest time till i was 500cp and someone said to me you use Immovability pots right ? i said no.... after i put my alchemy up to max and made my own i win more often then not now, 20k makes you about 80 pots if you can get the stuff needed at a cheap price at around 4 to5k a 10 stack.

its simple use the pots or die..

Former MagBlade here

In duels, the one thing I focused on the most was proccing that Assassin's Will bow. And against Sorcs I would shoot that the moment their shields were low or gone, which would usually instakill them

Anyways, as a Sorc you have a bunch of tools you can use to counter a MagBlade.

Pets for instance can really come in handy against them. Familiar and Atronach, while wearing a full set of Necro, can quickly wear them down

Also, make good use of CCs to hack away at a MagBlade's Stamina. Siphoning Attacks no longer restores Stamina to them, so if you can get them low on that it'll be a lot easier to strike the finishing blow

Lastly, try to listen to the Assassin's Will proc sound. If you hear it, keep you shields up!

Immovability pots won't help much against magblades because magblades have so little in the way of useful CC. Fear, and that's it. And for magblades, Fear is more of a defensive CC.

Standard sorc burst works well against magblades: put curse on them, knock them down on their back when the curse is about to go off, and then finish off with an execute.

Defending against a magblade, their burst is Assassin's Will, which requires them landing five light/heavy attacks against you. So if you keep track, you'll know when they're have one loaded. Also, try to make it hard for them to land those light/heavy attacks.
