✭Yes, absolutely100% so far!It's been tough going on maintaining 100% self-reliance lately. Over the weekend I was seriously tempted to buy some mats, but instead I've spent a lot of time farming in Craigslorn to farm enough mats craft mixed sets to fully equip two chars. Also managed to farm enough runes to finally get my enchanting from 39 to 50. Also found 7 Nirnhorn in the process and a bunch of purple Air/Fire gears with good traits so that's good. I almost caved in but I survived. One thing I'm struggling with is whether or not if I should ask my crafting guild for help with crafting Nirhorn gears for research. I'm not sure if that will put a dent on my 100% because on one hand I'm asking for help, on another hand I'm not buying/selling.

✭✭✭✭Nope, but mostly self-reliantI've only recently bought large quantities of Nirnroot off guild stores because it's really boring running after it specifically and I have more interesting and profitable things to do: ex. VRoM motif takes ~25 minutes, can also net Amberplasm weapons which I need, and will sell for 30K which buys you ~130 nirnroot, which takes way longer to gather. I have plenty of money and in the long run alchemy writs are a net gain even if you buy it. For the other materials I'm totally self reliant and I can craft any set. My characters run a mix of 1/4 crafted 3/4 dropped sets overall, moving in the "dropped" direction in the long run. However I do trade away most surplus mats, gear, recipe and motifs on trade guilds. It keeps inventory manageable since gold takes no slots. ✭✭✭Some of the rng in this game does not lend itself for self sufficiency. I can either farm for weeks on end for that sharp staff/sword or I can buy it in 2 seconds from a vendor. It's a no brainer at times.
Do all my own crafting. Never had anyone craft anything for me.
