That's not 100%!
I won't qualify for any trading guilds. So I don't make tons of gold, so I can't buy tons of things. I have a friend who's crafted cheapy stuff for me to use for trait research, as well as made me health pots and food in very small quantities. I've bought a number of laurels to use on my mostly merc armor on my main. I've also bought some things for research. But given the most gold I've ever had at once has been maybe 70K, I certainly haven't been a whale at the traders. Since I got my main in her crafted CP160 gear I haven't needed to make much anyway.
I'm short of 9 traits on everything. I have no idea where to find nirnhorned gear to research, or if I could afford it.

What do you need to qualify for a trading guild? **noob question**

Well, when they let me craft jewelry - I will. But the game's failure is not my problem...

Am I wrong or did they not say this when eso first came out?

You really shouldn't include jewelry in the 100%. Jewelry can't be crafted. It can be enchanted with glyphs, but not crafted.

Depends on the guild but they usually require you to be making a certain amount of gold per day/week/month from trading (the lowest I remember seeing was 5k per week) and have very strict rules on activity - like they kick you if you're offline for 3 days.

If I need something that can be bought, I am a firm believer that you are always better off farming gold and purchasing what you want rather than farming the item yourself. We all have different strengths when it comes to making gold, so I prefer to play to that and then negotiate in the open market.

How can they know how much I'm making per week though? Do you have to report it?
I recently asked to join a trading guild, but because I really need some help with learning everything... I dont know where to start so... for a different thread I guess. Don't want to get off track. Thank you.

I'm in a "trading guild" that usually gets a trader. Total requirements; 0. There are voluntary raffles and auctions. No required amount of sales. I'm in a second guild that usually gets a trader, but isn't a "trading" guild. Zero requirements there, too.
If you have the nirncrux, I'll make nirnhoned items for research for free. The very first guild I joined is full of wonderful people who did the craglorn content to get the first nirnhoned items, and made the research items for free. I pass that on for players who want to craft.
The guildmaster can see the sales in the guildstore. No need to report anything.
Yes, I'm dirt poor because I don't profit off of other players
