Ok, first, I must confess that I am still not max level with a warden, however, I wish to get some clarifications on a couple of things:
1- Everyone keeps saying the bear doesn't hold aggro. I have seen enemies turn and attack my bear several times. Pretty sure it isn't due to lack of damage on my part, since I have watched people of every other class killing stuff slower, and I remember going through these parts of the game with my other characters, and I kill faster now, yet, my bear still takes enemies off of me about a third of the time.
2- The bear keeps getting lost? Mine is either right beside/behind me, or has disintegrated into that weird blue/green sparkles magic-fairy land place, and as soon as I aggro anything, he sparkles back into existence and attacks. He doesn't wander off or anything, he just disappears. I've watched him do that several times immediately after a fight, no idea why he does it, though... it's really weird, and less than intimidating =/ I guess it could be worse, however. They could have added little fairies or something to the effect lol. I would rather the bear just stick around.
I like the stam warden.. though it would be nice to have more stam morphs.. like swarm should have a stam morph and I think most of the frost skills need stam morphs
As far as magic.. so far.. it seems very weak when it comes to pve.. the morphs are uninspired and damage to cost seems on the low side for such weak morphs. So better morph effects or a increase in damage is need I feel.
Example of weak morphs: Scorch morphs.. Sub assault is so much better then deep fissure.. Sub assault putting major breach + fracture vs deep fissure that stuns only 1 target for 3 sec on a aoe ability.. the magic morph is very lacking...
Then the main gripe from many wardens.. having to double slot the bear... why cant they just make it last like 10 mins or 30 mins per summon or until death so it doesn't need to be double slotted. Also its speed and attack speed are two slow.. and the ultimate cost ability needs to have that bear teleport or charge to the target and instant strike it.
30% AoE damage reduction that moves with you, still does damage, and snares or roots everything.
It's actually meant to be the Anti-Destro Ultimate.
I don't think its a anti destroy ultimate.. its more of a companion ultimate..
As a stam warden I have used it to snare a 20 man zerg ball that was running a scroll.. and 2 destro bombers followed me in and the sleet strom/permafrost snared the zerg, protected our bombers.. and we killed over 20 players with in a few sec do to them unable to escape do to the snare and unable to burn the bombers do to the damage reduction.. I also use the permafrost morph that stuns after 3 hits.. so it also interrupted the zergs healers.. its has great synergy for making the destro bombers even more effective.
