Steal, but 10K is pretty quick money just from quest rewards and selling stuff. That being said I'm always cash poor from buying bags and horse training, then deleting those characters and redoing everything all over again.

    It's a vicious cycle.

5k in 30 minutes? That's about the rate my thief pulls in on a good thief/pickpocketing route, no luck required. The only stipulation is that you only fence green or higher items, and you can make that no problem.

So really, it's a question of which you find less annoying: grinding zombies or grinding legerdemain. XD

Honestly I can't really comment on stealing stuff. I did it a long time ago and all my spots are gone. I'm sure there is plenty of gold out there from stealing.

I know when I ran my tests I was more interested in which locations gave me the most XP gains. That grind to 630 was real :)

Equip all prosperous gear and farm public dungeons.

I got a full prosperous set of necro and spinners for my Msorc and im rolling in the dough now. You can find these pieces cheap in guild traders got mine for like 500g each, already had purple jewelry and gold staves.

I'm pretty sure prosperous gear is a total waste of time. Someone did the same thing with impen gear and the money saved on repairs was greater than the extra money made on the gold drops.

Im not sure about that. As long as things are working correctly and depending in how long you farmed in the end i feel like you would end up with more gold from prosperous.

Say you had to repair after 1 hour of farming and you could make 10k gold in that hour. Also lets say your repair cost is 2k.

With prosperous in that one hour you would have made 15k instead of 10k(with all 7 traits prosperous and purple its 49%) repair for 2k you made 13k.

With impen go farm for an hour you make 10k and dont have to repair.

Granted i know the numbers would be different and thats just in a perfect world. But say you go over that hour with impen you are still going to have to repair and its still going to be the same price when its broken. It doesnt reduce the cost of repair just has the gear take 50% less durability damage.

So in the long run and perfect logic to me prosperous still seems worth while... that is unless i am missing somthing?

I am looking for ideas to make 10k gold in the game.
Even if it is a bit long I am fine as long as it remains a steady source of income.
    Any ideas mates ?

What are you buying? You sound new to the game. If you are below champion level 160, you shouldn't have to buy anything.

Recommend you do some learning, before forking out that much cash. 10k can get you some decent stuff at max level. If you are not max level, you might be wasting it.

Though @wesley41 makes a good point... for really easy money, fishing for Perfect Roe is hard to beat. XD

Yeah, but then you need to farm bait, or spend gold to buy it from a vendor...defeating the purpose of fishing to farm gold.

10K?? Yall are actin like he be askin how to make a million. 10K is flippin easy. Make sure your bags are clear and just go farm a public dungeon for a half hour. Its quicker if you go to one with imperial mobs. When bags are full then go sell all the crap to a merchant. Bonus if you bought one from the crown store.

If it can be killed kill it.

If it can be harvested harvest it.

If it can be looted loot it.

If it can be stolen steal it.

Stealing might not be the quickest way to make gold, that doesn't mean you ignore the crates and urns as you go by.

By far the quickest way to make gold on this game is to do the quest in the thieves den for Kari that drops the abahs watch motifs. Only do the quest that has you deliver "clean" goods of a specific type of treasure to an npc. If you dont get this one just exit out of reading the quest board, and read it again. You want the quest that starts withe "Esteemed thieves...".

Why is this the fastest? They sell for 15k+, and once you do a few you will have all the items needed to turn in already because part of the quest reward is "clean treasure". Pay your wayshrine fee and just fast travel between point a and point b. Rinse and repeat. Once you are done, sell your stacks of treasure items and gain tens of thousands on top of what you made from the motifs.

Expanding on this, create an alt. Level 3-4. Go to the stables and ask if any high level players want to help you out by donating for a horse. If there's nobody near the stables, go to a busy market area.

Once you've done it in one of the starting cities, go to the next and repeat.

But probably starting in the Morrowind areas would be best. People look "Oh, some newbie who started for Morrowind, I'll help them out"

I've never done this personally, of course. But I think it would work.

Honest? No. Fastest? Well, it could be pretty quick.

At max legerdemain/thieves guild, with the right thieving gear, pickpocket sprees do pretty well for me, especially as a nightblade with cloak. I can just go wild in Skyreach and click rapid movement with nights silence and concealed weapon and pickpocket everyone I see without regard for getting caught and make about 15-20k gold in around s half hour from it. Almost all of the people there are considered 'drunkards' which means they have a 100% chance for pickpocketing at max legerdemain for the first two picks even without the waiting timing bonus.

Doesn't take any trading or much luck or even really concentration once you get it down

    IMO, it's not.

Stealing is the most overrated way of making money in this entire game. You can make waayy more money in certain overland locations steamrolling them, looting, and selling it. You can also make more from 4 man dungeons.

Additionally, pretty much any of the other common methods will make more than stealing.

    Stealing sucks. lol

I'd semi-AFK fishing. Very relaxing and fast. Can sell fish for ~70/ea if not feeling lucky. Also, achievement.

A more active choice is looting the Anvil castle. Kill everyone. Should be ~6k per trip if ignore white.

Only 10k can be gained quick by stealing from chests and selling them to a fence for profit.

You get 100 gold for a green item without spending points in the thieveguild skill line.. So you only need to steal a minimum of 100 green items to get 10k.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Farm something you like to farm. Most people enjoy one farm and hate others. So they are willing to do one to make money and buy the services of other farmers.

    Here are some suggestions

    * Farm and sell crafting supplies
    * Farm and sell furniture designs
    * Farm and sell dreugh wax
    * Farm and sell motifs

The motif farm used to be the most lucrative for your time but it got nerfed a tad recently when they increased drop rates for a spell. If you like grinding move do the dreugh wax. Those sell for 3-5k a pop. Just refine everything that drops and you will get plenty.

If you like dungeons, delves, and quests do the furniture one. Search bins, desks, backpacks etc as you see them and sell the designs.

Google motif farming locations and camp the bosses that drop them if you like the social experience and want to chat while you farm (wait times for spawns).

Or collect the raw supplies everyone needs for crafting and sell them.

You can sell raw items in zone chat or on a vendor. Expect more money on a vendor and faster money in zone. Depends on your need.

Then add a crafting project you like. Master provisioning, or armor crafting, enchantments, or anything really. Find an item in demand that matches well with your farm of choice.

There are pros and cons for each so choose well. If you're gonna do weapons and armor you will be selling more socially. People like to pick their motifs they don't want to buy on a vendor whatever random thing you placed for them. So find an active guild that needs an official crafter and charge a fair fee.

Furniture crafting is hot right now so expect it to get nerfed soon.

Crafting consumables like potions and food, then selling them in bulk on a vendor in a pledge city will give you a steady income if you balance your cost of materials with cost of final product right. Charge too much and they won't sell. Charge too little and you don't make anything. Farmers can get greedy so this one dries up sometimes.

Good luck man, find a grind that works for you. For fast cash as a new gamer I recommend dreugh wax first. Not as lucrative later on but will get you a quick buck or two up front.
